I'm a Christian, husband, father, programmer, mapper, etc. I used to work in the games industry as a game-programmer, nowadays I just do some mapping and tool-making in my spare time.
My Half-Life tools:
MESS (Macro Entity Scripting System) - downloads:
MESS v1.1 and
example mapsfunc_instance for GoldSource, and much more. This compile tool provides several macro entities and a scripting system that lets you create reusable and customizable templates. Useful for reusing complex entity setups (such as the electro-slugs and teleporting enemies in my 'Windy' competition map) or for covering terrain with small details (such as the asteroids in 'aim_saturn').
WadMaker & SpriteMaker - download:
WadMaker & SpriteMaker v1.2 - tutorial:
Making textures with WadMakerCommand-line tools for converting directories full of images directly to wad files or to directories full of sprites. They will automatically convert true-color images with transparency to 256-colors. Various image file formats can be used as input (including Photoshop and Krita files), and support for other formats (such as Gimp and Aseprite) can be enabled by configuring external image conversion tools. Extracting textures from wad and bsp files and converting sprites back to images are also supported.
