What is bad surface extent? I just waited for 4 hours for de_full_city to compile before I closed vis and just let rad run. When the map finally finishes Counter Strike closes and a messages came up that said ERROR: Bad surface extent. What is this?!

I don't understand. I checked for problems, and it said the map was fine.

Bad sureface extent: 26928/0
How bad is this?

Would this perhaps be caused by shrinking a texture to 0.06 on over an estiamted 200 brushes?

Didn't mean to have so many set that. I didn't even know they were like that until I checked for them. Now I'm going through, face by face, changing them all to 1.06. Hopefully that wil fix the problem. By the way, its actually probably around 400, give or take a few faces, that are shrunken too much. KarrrrrrrrAzey! But don't be hatin' because like I said before, I didn't even know they were shrunken.

WC dude, when you check for problems it doesn't find them all. You need to compile to find the reaaaally bad errors. Leaks don't even show up in the check for problems thing, but still, they are the most common error (I think).

Well its not a leak, I know its not. And I'm almost done fixing all the faces. Lets see.... 26928/0..... this problem sometimes is caused by bad shrinking/stretching........ I have over 400 faces shrunken to 0.06..... Who else thinks that is the problem?

Yes that'd be the problem.

Yup. They can't be below .10 (I've gotten to .09 in some cases) and above 10 to my knowledge. And in the cases with xxxxx/0 it is caused by this, otherwise it's a bug in your HL installation or something (i.e. xxxxxx/40 or something)

I know. But agh! I forgot to run vis when I went to bed!!!! So the problem was never fixed by vis! So I compiled it over night for nothing!
