I was testing out Pepper's terrain tutorial and making my own terrain test map. It was going perfectly and the rock walls looked good. I saved the map and went out for a swim. When I came back in and started up again, whenever I did a VM the vertex points were all out of alignment and though they looked right at one camera angle, from another they were all out of wack. How do I do VM in 3d mode without this weird problem?

you use snap to grid. you don't zoom in too far. as it may look distorted too close.
i've never heard of anything else to cause this problem. try compiling the map.

Oh god no! If it looks wrong in hammer imagine what the compile log is like....

Check for problems detects most of the serious errors - use it ;)

the main trick is to make it look random. but fi you get a problem liek this i usualy delete the brush wich is causing it.
