I have never known how to get a map ready and everything and how to get it onto a website. I have been mapping for over a year now and i am creating a map for the competition. I am almost finaly done with it but I need some help with how to get it on here. Do i do that save to maps folder thing or what and how. PLEASE help me quickly because i have been working on the map for a very long time and the comp. is almost over.

Go to the competitions screen, and submit the map (down the page).

yea but how do you get it ready to put on the website? nothing ?

You put the BSP file in a zip with a readme txt with the maps credits, special instruction etc.

do you have winzip? If not, get it. you need it.

What's the diff between WinZip and the compression built into XP? That's what I use.

i started on my map today and I need lots of time because i still have to get my router working and download winzip i guess. but how do you get all of the files into one file and ready to download?, or can you put more than one file into it when you submit? man i need some help. oh yea and what about zoners compiling tools?

Get WinZip and read its manual.

Zoner's tools? Search the forums for info, or just look at the Links page for the URL to the tools themselves.

None technically (although WinZip 9 now includes a stonger compressing algorithm that's proprietary (only their software supports it).

RARs seem better when I last compared them.
