The thread for the TWHL HLDM session.
Nothing has been said about what maps to play and when we do it, so make suggestions!
Some basic proposals:
1. We don't use steam. Just normal HL internet game.
2. If you want your map to be played, upload it and post a link.
3. We need a server. 7th said atom could do it. Can anyone get him here?
I can provide two small HLDM maps. I'll upload them if you like.

There's a map called sputnik by devious, a really great mapper. The map it
self is from year 2000.
Could someone put this one onto an ftp or so?

217.42.226.152:27015 - Thats the current IP, I will use a no-ip for it at some point and use the updater software so i can just use an address. It is running Captain P's detention atm with no timelimit (me and BlackJackal [the guy who is always on irc if u dont know] were having a frag-fest. Please request maps by typing them as messages in-game so i can read them in the hlds console. But, It is Steam only, unless someone can h4x0r hl to connect to steams master server. happy fragging!

I have an idea for this...
How bout a tournament? First, see how many people are interested. Get them to enter in some way (email, forum post, etc). Then we start the rounds. 4 player DM with the winner going through to the next round. Eventually the final will come round between the two ultimate players (could possibly be 4 as well). Members can spectate this final match.

I did that for Unreal Tourney 2k4 not too long ago, a 1v1 ladder. 4 player sounds more fun though. Nice idea.
