just a quick little question: anyone seen any tutorials for fog? thanks loads everyone.

A wile beack I saw one on some site, but I cant find it on any of the sites I read, but some were there is a tut for this. :|

Fog can be done in Spirit mods with env_fog.

You can also use sprites to do it.

u can makge a cloud SCROLL texture, and put it over anything u want foggy. then u change it to entity (func_wall) change it to solid, and put a low value

i have never done that but i think it should work :)

func_illusionary, not func_wall, otherwise you can't walk through it, which would be entirely unrealistic

Just in case you're familiar with the fog effect that DirectX and OpenGL are capable of, the hl engine doesn't support parameterized fog, according to the documentation. It's pretty expensive, r_speed-wise.

one word "spirit" its hacked from the fog type effect you see when underwater.
