im still trying to get hammer 3.5b up on steam cs 1.6 for the first time. i use to use cs 1.5 and hammer 3.4.. now when i extract the gcf file out and i use the wads from that it tells me it cannot locate them. can anyone give me the exact location im sapose to have the wad folder at??and do i need to load them from the extracted gcf or not? or copy and paste? heres the error.log even though i posted the problem.

Move the WADs out of your Steam directory. Do not put any un-GCFed files into your Steam directories as it is unnecessary and Steam will probably have a good ol' cry.

Easy solution, move the WADs you have extracted to somewhere on your C: drive.

Slightly better solution: move ZHLT to your D: drive.

You should keep all of your HL stuff on one drive as the tools are old and find it difficult to comprehend the idea that anyone actually owns a 'hard disk' and isn't loading from the HL tape.
