it does but i only need 1 map for my clan and this is gonna take me a lifetime to learn and the clan will have parted and my life will have been wasted on learning for an outdated game

cs is the best mod, which should be considered a compliment to twhl folk. it's just like half-life, only much better. i'm pretty new to mapping and most all i've done has been for cs. maybe after i map more for hl, i'll like straight hl sp better. i even bought the platinum hl edition so i can play all the original hl sp's again to foster my interest in hl sp. can't wait for the next compo. cs and mp are my fav so far, but who knows?

HL sp, is fun, i enjoyed it and it was defiantely a turning point in fps's but it's 6 years old, and it looks it, MOD's are merely doing new things with old technology, so therefore mods are keeping HL alive, and vice versa.

6 years old? cs isnt much better. just because of a games age, doesnt make it any better/worse. i still love playing fallout 2, and that was made quite a while ago too. i even sit down sometimes for a quick bash at doom II. and some new games aint all theyre cracked up to be.

I've been mapping for 2 weeks and the things i still dont know would be cameras, mounted guns, and making a func_train follow path_corners to where it'll fly around like a plane...So if you've got alot of time, just start off making boxes, then move up to texturing and then entities...Should only take a dedicated person a week or two.
