I play to... make... a form of tutorial of hints and tips for beginner-intermediate mappers. Anything people'd like to particularly see? Please make lots of suggestions!

Please? It's not exactly a typical form of tutorial!

I was actually thinking of doing one o' these. Can we work together on it?

Hmmm... I think it will be nice to se the following things:
-Texture alignment (molded corners).
-Things to do so your map looks in order in hammer and you don?t go MAD.
-Cordon bounds and visgroups.
-Lightspots (in fact, the fact that the pitch represents the Y axis aim, I?m I right?.
-Correct placement of Info Nodes.
-General Hints about atmosphere and theme of a map.
-What makes a playable map.

You know, these sort of things... By the way, I?d like you to take a look at my toturial when Andy answers to it. Is my first English text!.

HOW TO USE TWHL!

Right, since there's so much interest, let me say: it's gonna be a map! About mapping! A Black Mesa style facility, with loadsa sections where you can see, say, two identical elevators, one in-game and one Hammer-style, with all the p. ents. represented by func_illusionaries, massive multi-brush-scaled-down screenshots of Hammer for certain things... sound interesting?

Should be a lot more fun to do than a normal tutorial, too!

Vassy; was this the same idea you had?

I already sent in a splash screen tutorial. So there's no need to write that. Just a matter of time until Atom gets back and uploads it.

no, really, it's the background screen with the menu. Unless you've got steam, like me :( in which case even DoD seems to feature the ambiguous Senor Freeman :)
