The mother board is for the previos version of the Athlon, For the procsessor you want you will propably want a nforce3 motherboard.

As for the question about the difference between OEM and Retail versions of products, Retail comes in a retail package(Pictures of product, specifications) and if its a procsessor, a fan, Also, it comes with a warranty . OEM, however is a little cheaper and comes in a plain white box and with no warranty. I strongly reccomend the retail version for its warranty and manufacturor certified fan(if procsessor).

As for buying online, ALWAYS buy with a credit card, NOT with a debit card, that way you can sic your bank on fraudulant re-sellers.

If this for Half-Life 2, for a video card look for know other than ATI.

Looks good, I'd say shoot for it.

ATI cards are the only video card choice for anyone wanting to play HL2 in all its splender, not only is ATI preferred graphics of HL2, the nvidia cards run it slower than the budget ATI cards.

go to www.motherboards.com they've got a great selection and can help you find a board that can fit that processor. I myself would suggest an MSI board of some type, they are high qualitiy.
