Can you paste the error and the URL of the thread you're trying to reply to when it next happens... thanks.

Database errors used to come up randomly, from browsing and posting. I haven't seen any errors since TWHL got faster.

I was getting a couple with two threads yesterday, posted links somewhere, no worries though, I can post in 'em now to my knowledge.

its all probably just because of all this server transferring doohickey. although i seem to get database errors if i try to access older pages of peoples journals.

PS: Also, can neither post nor edit here.

PPS: Can now :|

PPPS: It appears to be related to double quote-marks. If I write "Running a BSP", I get the error. Works if I escape them, or put two of them on their own in a paragraph below with nothing between.

Oh, plus backslashes always seem to disappear or produce errors. I guess it's the new server at fault?

:

Have to escape the backslash itself to get a single one.

Single quotes too, I _ think ; heh excellent ' cunning %1.

Ok, seems not to like a lot of things?
Especially bad grammer and puntuation.[sic]

Try using standard html quotes and ampersands. They work, although they are stripped out so they won't be their when you edit Seventh.

Seems to work then.
Also, two full stops in the same line seems to fail.

I would post what it say's atom, but there is no error message.

Okay, that "strange" database error you got Seventh was probably down to the thread being out-of-sync because of a lost post or missing topic or something (due to the transfer). They sort themselves out generally. Tell me if you find one that doesn't.

The other errors will indeed most likely have been caused by quotes and other funny characters that are significant in SQL... magic_quotes_gpc was turned off on this server's PHP config. Gross. It's back on now.

If you still see errors please continue to report them and where they happened.
