Is there any way to make hammer run on Knoppix 3.6,
Or Red Hat Linux 9.0?

I think you may need a Windows Emulator. WineX is one of them I think.

Cedega also, although I'm not sure the two aren't related. Get on IRC and ask m0p or jaardsi - and please get ridda that avatar, about ten people're already using that and variations of it.

WINE or Cedega should do the trick. WineX is just the old name for cedega as far as I know.

I tried the Source SDK Hammer with Cedega 4.2 today, didn't work.
