You use the enitity called func_breakable_surf

...and make it covered in Nodraw with a texture on the breakable faces.

Ummm... I can't get this to work...
Can you tell me what to do?
I placed a func_breakable_surf and put a normal window texture on it.
It didn't appear in the game.
What did I do wrong?

I had trouble with this. You need to put nodraw on all but one of the brush faces- counter-intuitive I know but your glass will be see-through each way- you can see in Hammer. If it's still not working try a different texture e.g. combineglass001a is one that's definitely translucent.

Again as I have said before:

Download my ladder example map which also contains the glass you are looking for!

I have done the above but when I shoot it, it has a little bit of shardage but it still looks the same ie. no holes. Also how would i get it so it can be shot/seen from both sides if I use nodraw texture. I want it looking like cs_office on source (obviously :P).

Any Suggestions???

Thanks,
Saboo

It is notacable even if you use nodraw on the glass.

Are you sure you're using a right texture?

What are your system's specifications? Did you change any options from the default? What texture?
