This vvis.exe is a steam application. A recent glitch that has happened to me and other people is during compiling the file will take up 87-99% of all processing ability. It is not neaded at all the file affects it in way (halflife 2 and sdk). If anyone knows what vvis.exe is than tell me. It slowed my computor to a crawl.

Thanks

Er, VVis isn't a glitch - It's the VIS exe you need to run when compiling that calculates the visibility data - This is an intensive process and it requires your full CPU power. It is certianly needed in the compile, it's an integral part.

Wow I stopped it from running and it worked just fine. And why does it stay on even after compiling is done? It never used to take up 99% maybe like 30% now the game runs like ** during tests. How do I lower this value?

I deleted the exe and it still compiles.

...without VIS the map isn't going to function very well. It will compile, but without VIS or it will create a new EXE.

Lol you really don't know much Avison but it's what hammer needs or basically there is no point in mapping without it!
