Other than HL2, what do I need to get started...and if possible, links? I have HL2 already, so thats a pretty good start I might say. I would consider my self a decent mapper when mapping CS maps on the old HL engine....any tips and or pointers for mapping HL2 Maps??

You need the Source SDK for one thing.

Been scowering the net...cant find 4.0, any ideas on where to find Hammer 4.0?

It's included with the Source SDK.

Find some good tutorial sites seach for hl2world, snarkpit and source tutorials.
And remember before posting on here makesure that it hasnt been answered (search the forums) cause if you dont, it really pisses people off!

if you realy made decent maps with hl1 hammer hl2 hammer is the same thing just some more entities and a few more functions its rely about the same not much different so if you made maps in hl1 it is just the same good luck i like to map but im not the best at it my maps look crappy lol
