where do you find your texture wads for 1.6? where are they located in the steam folder?

they are in the game cache files (known as GCFs). you need GCFscape to get into them and pull out the wads. google for GCFscape.

GCFScape.exe - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application

i get this same error when trying to run map veiwer

never mind.... i see that i need to DL and install Microsoft .NET framework. thx for your help
