I am really interested in modding, but i don't know where to start. A mini-mod sounds like a good idea for a beginner, but what exactly is it? I saw IMUS's mini-mod "NightThings2". I plan on downloading it this evening, how do you create something like that..is it just a really elaborate map?

There's not really a strict definition, to my knowledge. Usually means it uses a custom menu, etc.; doesn't really even need more than one map.
