We are also looking for modelers who can modify already made models (headcrasb etc.).
We are looking for people who are familiar with the HL2 modeling system.
Please email me (see above) if you are interested.
Thanks

I have the old site up for some basic information about Project HeadCrab (PHC). This site has not been updated in awhile (besides the home page).
Its at http://projecthc.moddb.com

Interesting. If a headcrab player takes over one of the humans, can they use their weapons?

It would be odd though having zombies with guns hence HL2 but it might make gameplay more interesting.

I presume you have a coder to code the headcrab as playable and attack etc.

maybe there's one player team (humans) and npc's (the headcrabs) :)

Yea, I should have not made a triple post.
No the zombies won't have weapons, and some of the weapons will be removed as to not vaporize the headcrabs.
You will be able to play as both races although there is a balance issue. We are currently trying different ways to balance them out. One option is slanting the levels in the headcrab's favor.
Please view the web site if you are interested in joining our Mod Team.

s'pose it would be good but how would you get the headcrabs playable? And would they have guns?

I believe Multiplayer would be interesting if the Humans had to "escape" from a building of some sort, and the headcrabs (Also players) spawned indefinatly. What I mean is, when a headcrab dies, it respawns, and when a human dies, hes dead for the round. Get it?

also, Clever level design in favor of the headcrabs would be very intersting, such as a metal complex with tons of crevaces, holes, airvents, and such leading right to where the humans must get through.

Also, tight passageways and such would be great.

If this is the idea you are going for, I would love to map multiplayer for this later on ;) (I just gotta learn more about HL2)

Tell me if you need a mapper for that sort of a map :D

I would also recommend NO USE OF ZOMBIES. The headcrabs alone would suffice.

(Although, it would be cool if a headcrab kills a human, and stays on him long enough, he turns into a zombie, and then after time, he could become the next stage of zombie, freaky Jumpy skeleton dude.)

To haggishunter:
No. Only the humans wil have weapons.

To BrattyLord:
Those are just the kind of levels we want. We want tight indoor ones where the headcrabs and/or zombies can jump out a surprise from anywhere. We also want the maps to be dark, because the headcrabs and zombies have nightvision to see the humans who will have very bad flashlights.

The headcrabs will have two attacks. A normal "claw" attack and a "pounce" attack that wil detect for a "headshot". If a "headshot" is detected, then you will turn into a zombie. After a short period of time, you can "eject" from the zombie to become a normal headcrab again. We will have "ejection" be disabled until after a certain amount of time so the headcrabs don't go jumb-kill-transform-eject-jump-kill-transform-eject-... you get the point.

If you want to join us, or find out more about Project HeadCrab, please visit projecthc.moddb.com
We have many positions open if you want to join no matter what your good at.
We are planning to buy a domain soon, but that time is unkown.
Thanks

It sounds interesting but does your mod have the motervation to finish it?

Have you got coders? Always get coders before making the mod hint hint City 13...

I will gladly help provided I know the answers to these questions!

Mods are serious things and needs a good leader! I hope your mod is determined!
