My Dad Builds houses, and he saw this thing on the Discovery Channel, where you can punch in blueprint info, and it automatically produces a 3d equivalent, that the customer can 'walk' through.

I'm Guessing it's Autodesk VIZ, or something like it, combined with other programs. Anybody have any experience/advice on this?

I should also note I goolgled quite a bit on this subject, and although I 'know' what I want, I'm having trouble quantifying a google search to get the results i'm looking for.

As far as i know Autocad is one of those programs that can do that, search for it on google and mail to there support system.

Yeah, theirs support system consists of talking to a salesman, who has only wants you to buy 5 products and doesn't really care/understand what you want to do with the stuff. Meh hates the sales urchins...

A completely different thing. Though the thought of his father showing customers around their 3D building in half-life would be quite amusing.
