How do I make a light hanging off of a cord?

Whenever I make the light (A model) it just falls to the ground, so I end up with an odd glow in the air. How do I make a model attached to one of those realistic cords?

I will not use the gravy gun at this point...

you need to use a move_rope to connect it to the ceiling

theres plenty of tutorials just google them.

Use a prop_static ok.

First off the prop won't display at all on prop_static, second, it won't move.

hey i have a problem too. when i try to make a hanging light i use prop_physics_override and it appears sometimes. but when i add a lenght constraint it turns invisible, but then when i add a rope it appears to be somewhere in the ground with the rope."always in the same place". when i copy it from a working map, the light works just fine, but the rope stands still..... and ideas why this crap happens to me???? :

Read the tut. I assure you it works perfectly.

Have a look at my swinging barrel example map it the same kind of thing just parent a light to it.
