Actually this is ALSO here to gather opinions.

What kind of CS map is best? Open arena? Bottleneck? Maze type?

I also need to know if vehicles are possible in CS (could always run the bastard down LOL)

I played tonight with my roommate and 12 bots... we were both on terrorist team.

AND we were both connected to HER steam account. Which is cool!

I like open arenas with plenty of hiding places. Like, you know, the official maps.

I think if vehicles where in CS:S they'd have been used. Plus the buggy and Hovercraft don't really fit in.

Vehicles are not coded into CS:Source.

The official maps seem to have a mix, and it's really a fine balance between all of them - Sniper points, places where you can utilize the shotgun, etc.

I personally like a map with hiding points... the ones where you have a good vantage point. I played CS:S with my roommate last night, and I swear it was awesome... Every time I died I'd follow her first person... she really knows all the good points in maps.

I want to design a new map. Thing is I don't know anything about placing bomb sites and such. I DO NOT like the hostage maps... It's just something about placing a bomb and protecting the area so it goes off
