handguns?

I made a few counter-strike maps and relized that the armoury entity doesnt let you place handguns in the map. Does any one know how place pistols in a level or how to spawn with them already in your inventory?

i dont think you can actually spawn handguns on the levels, they are included in any fgd(sp?)
