Where can i find free web hosting?
My usual source onestop.net only offer 10mb and take ages to activate!

I only need 50mb or so, preferably ad-free...

Well, I'd recommend TekCities, who offer 5 GB, although I haven't tried them out yet. Fragmeister can vouch for you. Right now, though, I use Freespaces which offers around 250MB to 2 GB, I can't remember which. They are good but navigating the file manager and editing your pages can be extremely frusterating.

If you can settle for less, try looking around here: http://www.free-webhosts.com/

yeah, tekcities rocks, just that you won't be able to create an account for a while, they're moving everything to a new server. And the ads are tiny text ads, no popups, 5gb space, 10gb bandwidth! For free!

Max. upload size?
for tekcities, it's 5mb. Not a problem for me, I like to compress everything anyway. And killer, yes i'll pm you when the server move is done. Actually, if you feel like checking yourself, goto tekcities.com/shp.php and if they're done moving, it'll ask you to login.

.rar is more compresed than .zip right?

Slightly, yes, I believe so. Somewhere it said 7zip (.7z) had the best compression though.
