OK, thamks to a hell of a lot of help my map is coming along and is nearly done. :)

I have just finished carefully placing info_nodes around my level so the enemies can run around etc, thr trouble is that the enemies all blow themselves up inside the house.

I have them set to be triggered when they see the player, but by the time the player gets upstairs in the house, 2 or 3 are already blown up!

I`ll post the map for you guys once its done, considering how much help you have all been :)

Lol. To stop them blowing up, don't give them hand grenades or mp5/m4 grenades. Also, assassins always have grenades.

when grunts get grenades, they become grenade loving hillbillys (as the "halo" term goes"). they constantly throw grenades at you if youre out of sight. an idea is just to place grunts around corners with shotguns, which can b quite devastating.

Ah ok...thought it was something I was doing wrong with the settings.
Grenades promptly removed from 10yr old hillbilly grunts LOL!

Nope tried setting every NPC (monster_human_grunt) to have a 9mmpistolk or a shotgun and STILL they are able to drop grenades and end up killing each other!!

HELP! :)

I had same problem... didnt know how to resolve it back then, i dont know even now... You can try with SPIRIT but i dont know much about it... :

9mm pistol? You can't give a grunt a 9mm pistol! If you mean an mp5/m4, then I understand (9mm AR). However, I have had this problem before. They occasionally lob grenades even when you set them not to have any. Also, hgrunts spawned by a monstermaker will have an mp5/m4 and hand grenades. So it might be monstermakers causing the problem. It's just a bug in hl/spirit.

in spirit, all grunts have handgrenades,
in hl you have some control over this, i think in future versions this will be fixed
