I put an invisible wall in this map using a func_illusionary entity and giving one side {invisible texture (I think I could've used {blue also) and gave the other side a cement texture. Even though this invisible wall is quite obvious, if you fiddled with the lighting and put it in a good place, I think it could be pretty cool in mp maps. Remember the good 'ol days with Doom? As I recal, there were a couple of invisible wall in that game too. I've never seen this done before, but I could be wrong. I'm surprised I haven't.

This is kinda the opposite. You can move and fire through this one. The cool thing is that from one other side you can see through it, but when you start shooting them people on the other side won't know where you are. Yeah, it's pretty basic mapping but I think it's a cool idea. Besides, that's why it's in examples. You haven't seen any basic mapping skills in there before?

Nice technique to have in the examples vault, even if it is dated.

Yeah, I made one-way-glass, kinda like a one-way-mirror but the 'opaque' side didn'a reflect. Messed up anyway, the file deleted itself. This'll do.

could be good for stealth map, when you go behind you can see enemy but they can see you.
