This is a Mini Mod based on HL2 City17 Streets, the mission is to get to other side of the street and access the citadel walkway...
The v2.0 will not run under old Half-Life
the only way to play it is trough Steam.
If you want to play under the old Half-Life, download older versions of Invasion 105

Shame shame for bumping this... but it was a cool map so you get a pass I guess. In the future know that bumping maps is very frowned upon :(

Is it different than the previous map you posted?

Am I the only one who thinks this is way too hard? Maybe I'm just "out of shape" (I haven't played many games lately), but with the normal grunts replaced to do the damage that barney would do to you, it's impossible! I won't be able to beat this without cheats...

Thanks for the patch, but I just realized there was a little more health laying around than I first thought. I think the real problem is the Barney-like AI of the combine soldiers. They seem to know where you are all the time, so they can shoot at you the second you come into sight, unlike the grunts.

By the way, I thought you said you would add another map where you went inside the citadel? I was expecting more than a few little changes here and there.

Ag3nt-X: It's not the biggest deal, but it is a breach in basic ettiquete in the Map Vault afaik. Updates or no, reposting/Bumping your map is just sorta uncool.

Because this map is so good, I can't really get upset over it--and nor do I think anyone else will. It's when people keep bumping their first map over and over and over again that it becomes intolerable :P

Yeah, for the amount of updates this had in it, it probably wasn't worth bumping anyway. The gameplay remained nearly untouched.

if i return the grunts to be the combine, they will not attack you at the first street, i don't know the problem with that grunts and i think the barney animations are better than the grunts, the grunt head position is too up, with the barney it's fixed, they look at you when they (Barney)attack, the barneys animation remeber more Civil Protection than the grunts animation and the new skin that i put on the combine model (hl2 beta looking), its remember more hl2. I think the barney based combine is better than the grunts because its have an better animation and body position than the grunts and its AI don't have a problem with the combine model unlike the grunts do you understand??? - Sorry for the very bad english.

Ideally, you'd probably want to just use the original grunts without a combine model or anything, but that would look quite out of place in City 17.

By the way, how did you get the Barneys to attack you like that? Did you have to recode them or something? They act just like regular Barneys in every single way, except it's like they're being controlled by another player.

download Spirit Of Half-Life 1.2 (i have used to make this map), then create a monster_barney entity, go to it's properties and change the option "Reaction to Player" to "Enemy"
