Please do not criticize me for posting the mod again after the comp but filefront is threating to delete it if downloads don't pick up so hopefully a few extra people will download it and keep to alive. Anyway, this is the map I submitted for the Comp Water and came first. I actually never got any feedback from it (except from Dave who sent a PM last week) so please rate and comment. Quick storyline, you are on an old submarine refueling station now used as a science lab studying sharks and how their cells reproduce so quickly. But then the storm hits! The story rolls out as you play on the various computer screens. Enjoy! (if you haven't already)
##EDIT##
Sorry about the download, I didn't realize it linked to the txt file download, I just copied the link of the comp page. Now it links directly to filefront but you still have to click the download button there 'cause filefront keep sessions and a direct link won't create a session allowing you to download.
Thanks for the new download link =) updated...
The only thing negative I can think of ATM was the re-modeled <can't remember name> fish was really buggy and kept getting stuck. It was really annoying and easy to kill. Also, it took me ages to get through the gap when falling down the lift-shaft - although maybe I just sucked!
Overall though - extremely clean. Great length and quality map for such a short time period. I loved it when the glass in the window broke and the water ran into the next room leveling it up - it looked really effective - its more fun faking these kind of effects than getting the HL2 engine to do it automatically.
A well deserved 1st place!
However, you should just use oxihosting instead of FileFront. They'll never delete your files.
PS: Those sharks have really sharp teeth. Damn sharks.
...Although, the computer screens were really annoying as there was too much text and it appeared too slowly, although its a neat idea maybe try and cut it down a bit?
A good story, well made, and with many nice touches.
