-Mindgame-
My entry for the Rooms project: a map with the same old theme as my hallway from the days of yore, but with a twist! There's some tiny puzzle elements to this map, as well.

I didn't make a hallway to connect to Zeeba-G's room. You said you'd do it if we didn't D:
It can be in the same map or in a new map, it shouldn't matter.
Best played with the lights out and the sound cranked up.

NOTES FOR EDITING:
-I've provided an intro game_text, but it should be replaced with the standard "Room #: Name" text when added to the other rooms.
-For the intro text ("Room #whatever: World Crafter), use the trigger_once that the player starts on. It can be manipulated, but please make sure that everything is triggered properly at the start (the sound and game_text).
-If moving the room around, remember to keep texture lock on. I went through a lot of trouble aligning textures, so please don't mess them up :(
-The beginning is the doors behind where the player starts in the precompiled map. Turn them into func_door_rotatings and connect them to your hallway.
-The end is to the upper right, in an empty box. It should be obvious, as the texture's don't match at all in the box.
-RAD conditions were:
--Extra enabled with default chop and texchop
--Bounce 1
--Smooth 70

I have a crushing problem! After 10 seconds game crashes, whatever I do.

Oh, god this is atmospheric... Dark, disturbing-ish, makes you feel like you're crazy- a good fit for the setting. 4 stars for atmosphere, but the pits were a bit dark.

Yeah same, i didn't understand what happened the first time, but when i realized... Just really cool!
= )

++superb theme, fresh for this project.
+Brushed very well. Nothing overly exotic but very pretty and errorless
++Textures look great
+lighting looks great
+neat misc "scary" effects (i don't want to elaborate to make spoilers)
+cool sound

Really excellent stuff, and a neat twist compared to the other rooms submitted so far. The horror genre is pwn, and i think down the road it would be cool to do a coop dedicated to just "horror" rooms.

Superb work, and another very high-quality map to add to the project! Your mapping powers are getting stronger everytime you release a new map. I think you and some other mappers who've submitted rooms (most others actually) are at, or quickly approaching "expert" skill level.

Pwn.

I guess my mirror isn't convincing enough, because everyone seems to think it's a tunnel :P
Well that's why I called it "mindgame", anyway D:
Edit: Oh THAT tunnel. Lawl.

If we do a horror coop, you should make a larger insane asylum, WC. those sheet textures and restraining-strap beds were pwn.

It's great, I love it. It took me a minute to figure out the mirror (and that it was a mirror, actually). But I can't think of a way to improve that, other than making the first room appear in the reflection instead. Great work! :D

I played this for the first time recently, and the mirror breaking almost gave me a heart attack. A very atmospheric map, very well done to you sir.

Ambience is difinitely your area of strength! Very scary. Possibly too dark in some areas but making you resort to your flashlight adds to the creepyness.
