This is a map I made a long time ago, it uses the same layout as fy_iceworld but I made it from scratch and added some detail. It could have been a lot better though.
+/-you could scale down the main brick texture to a normal size, but it still looks great as is
-the doorway trims are blocky and inconsistent with the quality of the rest of the map(the only visual distraction of the map, besides the stock HL rope texture)
Superb example of what everyone wishes more fy maps looked like! *****

I have to disagree with Captain. Don't be offended. I get the feeling TWHL as a whole has gotten far too lenient with dishing out 5-star ratings, and I still firmly believe 5 stars should mean "holy shit".
+Pretty lighting, indeed. It could have done with more contrast, but I'm not dinging you for it. +Clever texturing -Generally pretty brushwork. Knowing to break up the monotony with that sheet metal roof was clever.
-Buggy ladders; I got stuck on them a lot, especially trying to go back down. -Lots of misaligned textures on the floors and walls. ---No ambience. That's minus one star for me every time.
The thing is, this is a very generic map. That's fine, I'm not saying it's bad, but at the same time there's nothing really special about it. You've got good lighting and clever texturing, but it's still the same old Iceworld layout with the the tried-and-true industrial/ghetto theme. It's not that these themes can't still be phenomenal, but without any ambience and frankly "average" brushwork, Parkett is just the same sort of map CS players have seen a million times over. I can't stress enough that it's not bad, it's just not special.

I understand, this map was done a long time ago, maybe one of these days I'll bring an updated version, with another textures and maybe a little more of ambience.

@soup: Not offended! =) I realize i do tend to overrate maps. I do feel however taking into context as to this type of map, fy_parkett is well-above average, and that was definitely reflected in my rating.
++pretty texturing!
++Pretty lighting
++Nicely detailed
++Nice fy layout
++wadincluded textures =)
