Honestly, I forget this map entirely and since I don't have Half-Life 1, I can't view it myself. I'll upload it and see what yas think.

It was being hosted by DarkTree, in which case he is now using his site for a portfolio hes working on.

So its abit of a surprise that may suck. lol

Think I played this a long time ago. Sorry but can't remember it too well, it was a really long time ago. It 'was' being hosted? You mean he took it down and all?

This was more like a movie than a game. And Gordon was always stuck halfway in the floor. And all the modles had the yellow floating dots around them. I liked the cut scenes and the final scene was cool. Couldn't tell what on earth was going on though.

In hl1 if you refuse Gman's offer you have to fight tons of aliens so it could have started where you had to escape from them or something. When the alien grunt said you have no idea what is going on I was like, yup.

+Superb splash and intro effects!
+/-first room is as spectacular a space i've ever seen in half-life, but a downer that there are intersecting brushes on an entire stretch of molding..
+nice detail throughout
+great interactive destructive effects
++AMAZING cutscenes!
+good use of game_text (LOL at the prompt to level change
-model-in-floor errors as zeeba mentioned(which actually works if you have a night map with a call for fireflies! =)
+nice scripting and special effects!
+great trigger camera work
(how did you get that thin laser in the chamber, is that an env_beam?
++beautiful visuals in the test chamber
+beautiful uplighting in the last chamber/hallway
++awesome/funny "endless hallway" of weapons ala matrix! =)
++fun ending!

Superb stuff, especially considering how old this is. overlooking all the gordon-in-floor errors, no real problems besides that.

EXCELLENT STUFF! PLEASE MAP MORE SIR! =)

...Now I'm even more confused!... endless hallway? a test chamber?.. wow, I've forgoten everything about this map, the only things I remember Is the photo, and the splash screen lol..

endless hallway: just the big table with full of guns, which reminded me of the "endless" shelves of guns that fly by trinity and neo at the end of The Matrix. =)

When i said "test chamber" i really should have said teleportation chamber. ;)

haha.. yeah trying to run it now, part1.bsp loads, but part2.bsp doesn't, says 'sprites/lasglow.spr not found' :(

hmph strange. since it's in minimod format i would think you'd have no problem with that type of error, especially since that spirte IS in your UNBsprites folder....

Everything loaded fine for me using wonHL..

Whoa this was pretty nice, lots of awesome effects too!
The ending was too good O_o

Also, freeman was always standing >_<
Trough the table, in the ground most of the time lol.

But i loved it, especially the burning city part.

unb, you have it its in your minimod folder... that's why it's so strange ur getting that error... maybe try recopying the mod to your half-life folder?

Wow I opened the zip file again, and theres 3 sprite files left there.. it seemed to have completely move the files other than those 3 sprites.

Hmm, looks like this is an entry for Compo 13 (Map something unique), initially called Dramatic Measures. Excellent thing, except of those issues with manual loading of maps, wrong 3rd person look and yellow flies :)

Unfortunately Unbreakable, Mike Daigle Verret, died the 1st of November 2011. This was his last map.

Yeah, during one of my archive sessions I recently learned of Unbreakable's passing. Very sad, he was a pretty talented guy. I have a copy of this map saved and uploaded on Archive.org for preservation: https://archive.org/details/unbreakables_compo_entry

Sadly, I can't seem to find a copy of his other maps, hope they turn up one day. Also wanted to mention that I believe "Horror Map" was his actual final map, since this was a reupload that use to be on Dark Tree Media's site eons ago.

RIP
