de_dragos and de_watertower were probably the highlights in terms of pure fun, and the demos show that.

De_watertower was one of my least favorites to be honest. I kept getting shot from every darn corner of the map when I was CT. Aim_oldzone was pretty horible aswell. Not to forget aim_shotgun, where people were actually long-ranging with a damn m3. Speaking of m3.. I played half the maps with that shotgun. It's amazing how many 90-99 dmg-ers I got on close range and then lose the fight anyway due damn reload time!

De_dragos (even with the fact I must have played my worst game on T in that map) and cs_control (yes, the most ugly looking map outta all) I enjoyed the most.

Congratulations, Mario. Morally I feel like the winner though, since I got more tickets than the other four guys who played those whole hours through. Woohoo!

PS: For how long will the server be kept alive?

Well done for putting this all together and making it happen Archie and Daubeh. Sorry I couldn't be involved more. I'll be sure to check out the demos.

It should be up for another month or so. I'll be putting it back to normal later today (disabling some tournament plugins, etc.)

For now, if you have any ideas on what else we could do with the server, post them in this thread. Be it maps you'd like uploaded/playtested, or new tournament ideas, etc.

HLDM is definitely next on our list. We'll be hosting something similar to the retro tournament for that eventually.

I should also note that the demos registered everyone's in-game voice conversations for some reason, which sound like garbled static when played back. So you might want to turn down your voice receive volume before watching those.

I don't know if you want to bother doing this, but the section "How can I add commentator voice to a demo file?" at this webpage explains how you can remove voice data from demos.

That moment in cs_urbanbend was priceless. I'm taking the cake with that one.. and the damn cherry while i'm at it.

Misses a few memorable moments though. I had a few good ones aswell, haha!

Yeah, I missed a couple of epic bits but I wasn't recording the whole time. Uncompressed FRAPS footage is huge. Ended up with about 120gb of footage from it.
