Forgot to post this this morning, but last night I had my first unpleasant episode of SP ever.
So I got home late last night after a get-together with friends. It was about 2:30 AM by the time I got into bed and went to sleep, and I expect this had something to do with it.
When I woke up, it was still lightless out, my limbs were all stiff, and I saw (or rather perceived) the pitch-black silhouette of a man in a trench coat and a large fedora in my doorway. As he slowly and silently walked towards me, I squeezed my eyes shut in terror, then promptly remembered everything Soup Miner has ever said on the topic of Sleep Paralysis. I strained my arm muscles to point my hand towards the door, and gave my hallucination the finger.
Usually I just dream and ride it out knowing I'm dreaming but not choosing to alter it. If it's one of my days off I'll go back to sleep after I wake knowing that I'll dream again and wanting to "finish" the dream I was having before I woke.
SP sounds like some intense stuff.
Seriously though, fuck.
Maybe he was about to, but then you blew him off with the magical back to normal middle finger command! Lol.

Ohh yeah! ... Not your babe
I've heard about this a few times on /x/, apparently for those who have SP, or see shadow people, the Hat Man is one of those entities that keeps cropping up in different people's experiences across the world.
Normally, while I enjoy the concepts of the paranormal, realistically I'd be a skeptic. However this seems really creepy to me.
I'm not sure if I should be scared or not. I guess not, since I gave him the finger and lived.
Really creepy that that's a common thing, though.
I've never experienced any 'common entities' in SP though. Usually just dark figures and expies of Samara from the Ring.
