Generalisations. It was the English government that they hated, but it was abstracted to England itself. The land, the queen, and Hugh Grant. All of it.
Same in India, they were under British control for ages. They must have hated all the English, not the English government which was the one actually doing all that. "England" includes the random citizens who didn't give a damn about who controlled India.
Same with Spain and South America, they got rid of "Spain" and not of "King Whatevero IV's control".
If the US invades your country, you'll hate all Americans, not just George Bush. Sad but true.

Shit man, that's deceitful. I started to read about your fiancee while I slowly noticed that photo below that - I thought I was going to say you were a lucky guy.

I got a cupful of it on my whole hand, on chemistry class a bunch of years back, when some idiot knocked the cup off its base. I washed it off right away, but I don't remember feeling anything at all.

"my grandmother (...) revived a phone call from in the town asking if she had felt it."
Huh? I think you something there.
I've never ever experienced an earthquake of any magnitude. Not even when it was in the news that one had hit so far away but it was so terrible that it was felt here too. I keep wondering where the hell am I when those things happen.

I hope you live in a high floor. I'd take hard disks and important stuff if I had to leave, but remember there's only one thing that's worth your life taking with you: Yourself. Pretty much anything else you can dispose of. Still, I'd suggest you leave dressed

Heh heh. Yep it does video too, full HD. I haven't tried it yet.
It's great to finally have a camera that has more settings than just white balance in manual mode. To those interested, this setup would be this camera, this lens, and this flash unit.
And a hot pixel is a pixel in the sensor that is always white (kinda like stuck pixels in LCD monitors). It's a bit upsetting that every photo has that pixel completely white. It's a turn off

Downloading. Just as a comment, the ceiling looks a bit too plain judging from the screenshot. But of course, I'll first play before giving accurate detailed feedback. BRB

How can you do that? I never get enough sleep. Even if I wake and I think I'm ready to get out of bed, I immediately fall back asleep for another hour or two. I couldn't finish today's homework because of that

@Urby: If I became a woman, I'd probably still be into women. So I guess I can't blame her...
@Soup Miner: I really don't think so. I wasn't even after them. Not even hinting at such a thing in our conversations, it just came up casually. And the last one, being my closest friend, would have never done such a thing even if I tried to get closer. Now, after a few months of absence (due to studies, work, etc.), we get up to date... and I'm told this. Knowing her as I do, I am certain she's more than worth her weight in gold, diamonds and ununoctium - to the power of googolplex. It makes me sad because even though I didn't want anything more with her, I know she would make the finest once-in-a-lifetime girlfriend (to my standards at least).
It sort of feels as if each time I turn around, I see a door closing - even if I didn't even want to go through that door.

No, but the owner shouldn't have a reason to believe you shot his cat. So unless you find him and tell him, all he will know is that his cat disappeared.

My father would have probably tossed the cage into the river or something like that.
On a second thought, he wouldn't have invested in a cage. He would have shot it the third night. And then tossed it into the river. Or just a garbage can, whichever one is closer.

Yeah I guess that's the easy (and expensive) way.
To make one yourself, you clean up the blank board, do any of the procedures above, then dip the board in Ferric Chloride - FeCl eats away at the exposed copper - and leave it there until only your circuit is left in (painted over) copper. Wash FeCl off with warm water, dry, drill holes, place components, etc.
I liked that, it takes a little time but it's fun. Also I heard there are some alternatives to FeCl but I don't know of any.

Why are we discussing this again?
@SpaG: Wait, what? I have 1.5GB! Are you suggesting I ALREADY NEED TO UPGRADE my system?!?! It's only 5 years old!
I got my current computer in 2005 and I don't intend to buy a new one until at least 2015.

You should have been playing Jenga
I hope you're ok.

Rocket fuel? You can always try magnesium. Or car fuel, which is easy to find - in your car. Just suck it out with a hose into a bottle.
And my uncle has been using this one for over 20 years and still hasn't complained. But again, he has that extra button in the middle...
@Urby: Perhaps I should be lookin' for discount tickets for surgery then.
I'm guessing this is just life's way of saying "see this? you can't have it anyway"

And I think the only country that's currently exporting anything is China.

Are you educating your little son to be a wussy?
Did you happen to build one and don't know what to name it?
I'm starting to think ordering online is better
