You've reminded me of just how much I want a Wind Waker sequel, dang.

Goodbye, Dimbark!

That's probably the most saturation I've seen from something in the unreal engine, heh. Its pretty cool, and you replicate the styles of both pretty well. I think my only two complaints are that the back of the island looks strange in how it 'converges', and that the air line loops happen too often and in the same places.

Oh yeah, this was heavily inspired by Unreal. Good call! :)

Oh no don't get me wrong. I'm familiar with them and yes those are examples of good work but there are people are there that have made some extremely shittttttty fan tributes or games.

If I owned the property then yeah I'd tell them to stop. But you're right also, Square is backwards now. They don't seem to realise there's money to be made in FF7 / Chrono Trigger remakes. Maybe they do, they did say it'd require a lot of time and hard work to make a remake that met the quality of say FF13.

I prefer remakes to be seperate games anyway. Otherwise people moan the voices sound gay or a change in animation ruins the whole scene. Better to call it a reimagining like the Silent Hill game.

Superb texturing a lighting, great work! It has a slight Unreal Tournament Classic feel to it, reminds me of the dm maps Grinder and Pressure...with more detail and sexier shadows :)

Hell no, those project were extremely good. The one that was to recreate all major battles was really amazing. But Square likes to bitch around a lot.

Deliverance. Go play that next.

Well i can understand. Its like if someone with no skill makes a crappy product using your property. Theyre only trying to protect it i guess.

Ah, I love ct too. But I also remember someone getting sued by square over making a mod AND someone else also got sued for making a 3D remake. That was. Really sad.

Haha, really nice video, enjoyable. The mapping is pretty cool in that mod.

Yeah. The final count was just shy of 45 minutes.
Commented 12 years ago2012-05-26 12:23:28 UTC in journal: #7811 Comment #43568
It's still a 11 minute video.

Man, I remember playing this mod, although I have no recollection of actually doing it. Still, it was pretty nice for its time.

No, in the video he says, "Luke, I am your father."

That means it is referring to the scene I linked a post ago, where his lightsaber is blue.

The quality of anything I do is directly proportionate to the amount of sleep I get. I'd probably die with a schedule like that.

Kudos for pulling it off, but still, try & look for career alternatives. This can't be healthy, and it does sound like you're quite miserable.
Sadly the job market for web dev is really dry unless you know .NET or the likes (at least in Dundee), so I can see why this is taking that long.

It's a really shitty position to be in - hope you find something eventually.

I was going to say the same thing. You don't really need to configure anything. Select your engine (Source 2009 is the most stable at the moment iirc) and your game and open hammer.

Should be pretty simple.
