missing cs_havana.wad
if you use batch compiler, you can easily include the use textures, that is, you select the wads as normal, but it embeds only the USED textures into your bsp.
Also, use RESGen to quickly see what textures your map is using, or you could check in hammer (this is sometimes a pain because of long filenames in the hammer texture options window)
a more clearer description of what this map is an example of might be nice too! PM me when you fix it pleez. = )

Utterly beautiful.
Maybe some more texture variation for different parts of the map, but it looks really great. I love the detailed bruswork though your wpolys rival 3500 in some places = )
I'd love to have a look at the source to offer some optimization tips, though it looks pretty clean.
Possible suggestions: -sounds? (you might add some) -add some rooms that look different like full of computer consoles or anything really. -some doodads like a retractable bridge over that deadly liquid -more height variation
the corridors are tight, but it's what you'd expect from a space theme.
I'm going 5 for the hard, precise work that went into this map. I don't care about playability or what have you, it's really neat ; )

Ops sorry, i didn't read you well, you were asking about textures. Well, the banana tree texture was very easy, I just took the pic from here http://www.cgtextures.com/, cut it and I changed a little bit the tonality, there's nothing special.

I didn't know anything about modeling 2 weeks ago. I've learned a lot watching the official videotutorials, and I started the palm tree a week ago or so, but you can make it in 2 hours. Now I see my maps in another prespective, you can make whatever you want with models without reducing the fps. I recommend you Habboi to learn it.

Good Tutorial but I still had to figure it out for myself. I created a simple crane to lift a cage. I didn't use your map--I created one from scratch. The position of the second pulley on the phys_pulleyconstraint is kinda important. Also worth noting is that the two entities assigned on the phys_pulleyconstraint need to be in the correct order or it won't work correctly. I think I have it figured out now. Nice Tutorial!

Skals, this is the first map in vault/complited. Jaguar is ru_user. English for him (as for me too) is not native language, so he can miss bio and journal. Wrong. Think about it, jaguar has 0.1 Logins per day, (7 in 121 days). no journals, no bio, nothing said about himself... so he just comes on once in a year to rate ur map 5 and quits for another year? ither that or a huge concoquence

Skals, you not right =) This map no needs dirty pr. halflife_genius, original half-life include the multiplayer code (DM), just find Create Server in menu and select DM-Knot or type in console: deathmatch 1; map dm-knot.

Well, about the little rooms for dodging, this is something I don't know exactly if it's good or bad. There is a contrast in this map, in the surface you will find a lot of space to dodge, a lot of players to kill and a lot of ammo, but, most of then are only acessible with the gauss, wich you only get going to the subterrain. Well, I think that at this point the gameplay turn in something like "challenge some players in the subterrain, get the gauss, and then try to go to the surface and kill some n00bs :P"
But if you don't try to get some other weapons, you should be an easy spot for other players who do the same.
About the map being confuse... well, I can't say because I have it all in my head right now, just like de_dust! Maybe in 10 years I will forget and know if it's easy to get lost
About the rar files... well, if you use linux you can just try the unrar command. If you use Windows, just install 7zip and you're good to go, no need for irritating shareware messages or the like!
The Desmond episode in Season 4 blew my mind. Pure brilliance.
