I don't think you can be 'turned lesbian', but the new people in her life could've had a big impact on her personality.
Look, I don't think it's the right thing to angrily dismiss this. I can understand if you aren't interested in rekindling the friendship again, but you should definitely be the more mature person here by ending it sensibly. If you're sincere, it may be enough to get her to start looking at herself more deeply and possibly realise the mistakes she's made. Trust me, it does happen.

Ok, so you're the same age as me.
This kind of thing can happen for a few different reasons:
1. You did something to upset her, more than likely not directly. It might have been an offhand comment that was taken out of context, or an innocent joke. In fact, it's probably going to be something that's not offensive at all, but possibly changed her opinion of you.
2. There was more to the friendship than you realise. Again, this ties into point one slightly: if something happened that damaged the possibility of a relationship, she may have reacted poorly to it.
3. External factors. I'm not sure of her story, but someone new in her life may have been influencing her and so on.
In my experience, this kind of stuff is fairly common at those ages, which is why I can't recommend highly enough NOT getting properly involved with someone until, at the very least, your late teens. On a purely chemical level, your bodies are going mental and very easily affect your judgement and thought process. As well as that, there's a critical lack of life experience to guide you wisely through certain situations.
I believe that in this situation you should definitely step up and be the better person here. Contact her, and kindly, but firmly say that it's nice to hear from you again but that you feel that you drifted away and would just like to know why. Provided you don't sound arrogant or angry (and provided she isn't a lunatic), you should get an answer.
And so ends Dr. Ant's relationship chat. Tune in tomorrow when I help a lesbian couple move in with their parents!

They kind of all happen at the same time, don't they? Blue Shift happens at the same time as Half-Life and Decay and Opposing Force is also sort of during it as well...

It was well put together but damn, it was seriously hard. I would also say that you need to put in some cues in the game that give the player an idea of what to do, rather than put in help in the readme. Players these days rarely read manuals, so if they get into a game and don't know what to do (like me when I first tried it), it gets very frustrating.

I'm actually still working on it. I'm happy with the edit and the music, but I'm experimenting with an more efficient workflow and trying to integrate colour correction in there as well. I'm also converting it from 25 to 24fps to give it a more film-like feel.

$1716.84 for me, but it only found 113 games? Steam says I own 155...
The thing is, there's no way I've spent that much on all those games. 80% of them I got during the crazy sales, where they're super discounted. As well as that, I've been on Steam since 2004.

Erm, no. Valve moved to episodic content to get games out faster. The first episode was released in 2006 and that was two years after Half-Life 2. It's now four years later and we still don't have a full sequel to Half-Life 2 yet.

Doubt it. Episode 3 is being delayed for reasons we cannot comprehend. The problem is, there's no way in hell it'll ever be as good as the long development time could potentially allow for.
Penguinboy raised a good point yesterday regarding this: if you've ever played Uncharted 2, you'll know what we're on about. That game completely craps all over Valve's stuff in pretty much every regard. Now, Uncharted 2 had a normal game development cycle by a company smaller than Valve. What they produced completely pulverises the Source engine in every way.
The fact that Valve can't get episodic content out the door in a far longer development timeframe (let's face it, none of the Episodes equate to a full game), tells me that something is afoot.
As for the video, I saw that a little while back and was impressed. Because they're video capturing and not doing traditional motion capture, the cameras pick up so much more nuance in the performance. The problem with LA Noire though (aside from the fact that 'noir' is misspelled) is that the bodies are animated with traditional motion capture (i.e. the white ping pong balls) which can't possibly be as life-like as the faces.
I hate motion capture with a passion because every single time I've seen it used, it looks horribly stiff. The animation that companies like Pixar do is done entirely 'by hand' and, despite the fact that it's cartoony, the exaggeration in the animation makes it look far more convincing.

Yeah, but everything is seriously dirt cheap. Penguinboy, Strider and I are racing for the 'Most Games Owned on Steam' award, which PB is winning at the moment. :<

Huntey speaks the truth. PB, Strider and I all own PS3s and PCs. While most of our gaming sessions occur on the PC, we've had great fun playing through Uncharted 2's multiplayer modes.

I have to agree. There's some definite potential in this map, but it's let down by a lack of a polish and a poor frame rate. This isn't a computer issue either: you've clearly pushed the engine the wrong way and it's reacting rather badly.
In terms of polish, it's a lot of little things: for example, in some places, you've used a skybox texture for walls and whatnot, which look ultra blurry. Stuff like certain fences don't connect with surrounding walls, so they're kinda just floating in mid-air. As well as that, there is the aforementioned issue of being able to breeze past the map with a pistol. Hell, I nearly got to ten minutes on my own (somehow a Tank came up).

(I've had experience in these kinds of things)
Yeah, I'm awesome.
I do agree with it though and I would like to add that there are far too many moronic parents around these days.

I'm on 144146 games, Strider's on 165 and Penguinboy's on a whopping 184.
Valve games on consoles just don't work anyway.
(Waits for Apple crap)

Still, very good effort.
