Wow, really cool loading screens captain! Really cool little entrance world too with all the cool avatar flags! The part where you press e to pick up the pistol didn't work for me though for some reason.

As for my room, you guys should definitely check out my version before the textures were all majorly upscaled, it looked a thousand times better. And some of the textures were even changed.

Disco stu your room was really cool. Brings back memories because I used to always map night clubs with blinking tile floors when I first started mapping. It also made me think that "map a night club" would be a good next twhl official competition.

Lol, I think the girl in rim's room is his dream girl. Really cool peacefull map.

Well I would definitely do this project over again. Next time probably with a smaller room..

Its very impressive how much you kept on top of this project captain, good job man!

This is like the one time I get to rate my own map of course im going to give it five stars lol!

Same with the circular door knob, its carving the door. And don't make holes by carving with a cylinder. Overall this is a pretty clean little map. It seams like it would be pretty play worthy but may get a little boring after a while. You have so much more memory for much more, why not add different routes and more detail. Add something to every monitor. Add some sounds. Add illuminating ambience in the dark areas. Just make it more enjoyable to the eye.

Sorry I only wrote in the forum and not here. Thank you guys a lot and thanks for the congrats hotdog it definitely was a close one with us! Your map was really amazing! Yea that took a rediculous ammount of time to judge but it only made it that much more awesome to see the results. I was SO stoked to see that I won I called and woke up everyone that sat around with me while I spent countless hours working on the map. Can't wait till next comp..

Good advice- pretend nothings unusuall and go on with your business. Pick up a bible if you don't have one.

Bad advice- Set up a camera, throw down powder, etc.

Really bad advice- Get a wigi board and try to talk to it.

Funny advice- Sit in a chair naked and say boy I wish I had oral pleasure im so lonely and see what happens.

Scary advice- Wake up at four in the morning and go in the bathroom. Lock yourself in with the lights off and go stair into the mirror whispering for it to show its self and that its a coward.

If you do the scary advice i'll give you a dollar.

Ambience is difinitely your area of strength! Very scary. Possibly too dark in some areas but making you resort to your flashlight adds to the creepyness.

Guess I never wrote a review on this one. AWESOME AMBIENCE! The lighting is so peaceful and the little globe lanterns are so calming and interesting. The layout is pretty interesting being roads floating different ways all around a tall vertical structure. The tubes that you jump up are interesting and have cool sounds in them. A really neat looking and cool map!

Its alright. Kinda a big open area with stuff just placed into it. A good beginner's map! Just plan out your entire map before you even start and make seperate areas. I read your profile and you shouldn't set low standards for yourself, you have potential.

Yea me too. Well the last thing I feel like saying is how math can somewhat proove religion to be right.

x=x, therefore good=good

Good's definition says that good is pleasing, riteous, helping, being kind, being generous, carring etc.

According to the definition of good and the obvious algabreic equation x=x you can say that it is good to be good because according to good's definition it is good and pleasing and if it equals itself than it is good to be good.

Same goes for bad. Bad=Bad. Bad is stealing, lying, cheating, killing, sinning evil. It is bad to do bad because bad=bad therefore it is bad to be bad.

Most religions encourage you to be good which is proven as good with simple algebra.

Yea as a pretty religeous person I believe it was created by God but I don't want to tell you that it was because I don't want to sound like a fool that believes in things without evidence. Im interested in brainstorming ways things come to be but I don't care much about things like how the earth was created because I don't think the truth will effect me besides my beliefs. All I do know is that math can proove religion to be true to some extent.

As for abortions, Its the mothers fault in most cases for having the sex therefore its her responsibilty. But you said you were threw talking about it and I am too, most people are pretty solid to how they feal on that issue.

Daubster I can't tell you how earth was created, I wasn't there. I know what I was told but I see it like this. I can create things and make things so why couldn't I have been made by something or someone else? I used to imagine that earth was created by a grain of sand floating around in space for countless centurys until it colided with another grain of sand and than became a rock and colided with another rock and so on. But who knows, you can't put me down for believing that earth was created by God. Science hasn't proven how it was created, thats why its called the big bang "THEORY". No one was there so no one can know for sure.

My disagreements are that people are getting so defensive of things that they don't know for sure. At the same time they are bashing others for their beliefs when neither party knows for sure weather either side be true or not.

Darwinism is "the survival of the fittest". The best evolved moth survives because it blends in with a tree while the white moths in the area all get eaten. The strongest man survives because he steals the food from the weaker man. Its the same idea. And if you are fooled to believe that the word abortion defines a practice that is ok than I feel sorry for you. You can't abbort a missile thats already been fired. All you can do is shoot it out of the sky. With pregnancy, once the baby is already being made as it says God even new you in the womb, abortion is killing not aborting. Abort means stop something before its happened. Its just a name given to the practice that should be called murder.

Huntey don't bash striker hes a good guy. And Urby you think its cool to talk down on probably half the TWHL community? Were all friends here and helpful to eachother but you want to give us all the finger.
I believe in God but when I think of Hitler, or Dracula, or muslim terrorism, or the klu klux klan or anything like that I come to a quick understanding.  Those people were either bad people or just didn't contemplate or understand what they were actually doing. Maybe some were crazy in the head but why would you look at terrorists and Hitler when thinking of religion.  Why not look at all of the church organizations to feed the homeless?  Or do you think your better than any one person and as did Dracula or Hitler believe that any poor person should be killed rather than helped?
Abortion is a relgious topic yet forget religion for a second and think of the facts.  Its killing your baby and thats it.  Its wrong and ruthless not in opinion but in fact.  Its taking the chance at life weather religion be real or not from someone that can't stop you and are helpless.  Religion just teaches that it is wrong.  Religion teaches that it is wrong to steal.  You feal its ok to steal by Darwinism that your stronger than someone so you can have his food because you can take it from him?  If this was so than there would be no laws and you'd be gaurding your belongings rather than the government enforcing laws to do so.

And don't say you hate politics.  Sure many of them are corrupt and blah blah blah but without them there would'nt be government and without government there wouldn't be order and without order technology wouldn't have time or efficiency to advance and evolve.  You may not like something but it doesn't mean that it isn't needed.
As for religion, its based off of a thing called faith.  Faith is believing in something whihout having evidence.  Of course we'd all believe if we had proof.  But I don't think God would send you to hell if you were generally a good person.
Believe what you want but don't bash others for what they believe!  No one took you by the throat and said "READ THIS BIBLE YOU GODLESS SON OF A B".  Take it from me as your friend, try reading the bible.  Skim through Mathew.  Do a little bit of research before you say you hate something you know nothing about.  Yea some churches are awfull but its not about having a good time on sunday, its about worshiping God and thats it!

Wheres the ambienece? No fire sounds. No water sounds, not even an echo. The lighting was pretty interesting but in my opinion needed to be quite a bit brighter. The entire map was pretty neat and clean but was a little too symmetrical for my taste. The hallways were pretty cool while plain, the pots with fire made them really cool though you used the ugliest fire sprite. You should have probably used I think its called xffloor.spr. Also the hallways didn't really get the player around the map much. As for a gameplay approach it seems like it would be a pretty fun map but there wasn't much vertical gameplay. And there aren't too many ways to get around the map. It seemed like the hall ways could have used secret paths and ways. The entire map sorta felta like I was in a sewer rather than an aztec structure besides the textures. The bright glowing sprites were nice and gave the map a hint of lost technology. This map is actually pretty inspirational for me because I am going to remake a new map that exposes some sort of forgotten technology. The floating sprites in the dark area with the stairs and pots that didn't have fire in them was really cool. The only glitch I noticed was when you get the crossbow you fall out of the water and can walk around under it. As for architecture, the ceiling domes could have used some trim around them. And the columns could have used something at the tops of them. It just needs to be drug down a little bit. Overall a neat clean map.

Map was really small, Not sure if it should be placed in the "finished" maps vault. Really its just a room. Very nice cliff sides and great technique by not using triangles! The area was nice but didn't seem abandoned with all of the lighting. You should expand the map to more areas and dullen the lighting to make it seem more abandoned. Possibly make it into a deathmatch map.

Ok so I changed the name of my fixflame sprite to fix_flame so it would work. The first thing I have to say is " ". This map left me speachless! Amazing ambience. It actually was a little scarry. The textures were great. The whole thing fealt like I was walking around in a forgotten part of Dodongo's cavern from oot. Really great everything, architecture was pleasing and vertical release was everywhere. Theres really no complaints I can give you except maybe the waterfall coming out through a hole in wood couldn't be realistic but perhaps it just began eating through the wood. And at that part the player can gauss into it and swim around.. Really cool map, very inspirational!

Cool, didn't know you entered. Checkin it out..

Alright really cool entry. I was actually doing a snow map at first but than changed my theme. The huge outdoor area is pretty cool but the ceiling is very high and players jumping around with the gauss will see all of the null textures. You chould probably place a clip textured brush about halfways up and than get rid of all of the null textures. The far hall way that slants up and at an angle is a little ackward looking and plain. The water in the big out side area looks too wavy in my opinion and could use some ice chunks floating around in it. The structures and cold concrete textures go well with the snowy theme. The outside areas hold good vertical release but the big inside area seemed a little flat and dull. Over all you did a great job sticking to the floor plan and using a neat theme. Ambience was pretty good too allthough it was pretty much the same through out the entire map. You definitely should have a chance placing in the comp. Good luck!
