You can still use bsp brushes, but honestly if you make a model asset pack you just snap them together and it's faster than brushwork. Looks better too

UE4 is sweet. Source would be the easiest to transition into however the asset creation can be a total pain in the ass in the beginning

I know that sledge has an option where you can import .obj files - i'm not sure about J.A.C.K..

Try creating basic brushwork first though because sometimes the import process can leave you with loads of brushes that probably won't play nicely with the engine - it might leave a sour taste in your mouth if you're a beginner.

Also check out the forums; journals aren't meant for help questions really.

I jumped onto the SSD train a few years ago and now any computer that doesn't have one seems 20 years old.

They're fan-fucking-tastic.

I basically have windows and some miscellaneous programs installed on the SSD, whereas I have my steam library on my storage drive.

I also mapped MyDocuments, MyMusic etc etc to my storage drive as well.

Just don't defrag a SSD

Sorry to hear man. I love my cat to death and I don't even want to consider that he might have to pass on one day.

Stay strong!

Rim! It's great to hear from you! Hope all is well,How's the wife? I've been playing a crapload of World of Tanks...joined up in a really fun clan that isn't too competitive. I've also been flexing my Source mapping/modeling muscles lately with Tuesday night and Sunday morning Twitch streams. I'm working on some pretty cool stuff that is pushing me outside of my comfort Zone so that's fun.
Other than that I'm moving to Florida in a few weeks! Woo no more snow ever!

A friend of mine started a vape juice company a few years back. Unfortunately there was some new law passed that made it near impossible for her to keep the shop running so she had to shut it down. They made their own juice from all natural stuff. They extracted the nicotine from tomatoes somehow and used fallen fruit for flavorings and such. Apparently it didn't clog up the vaporizer or mod or whatever you call it. That sounded like an amazing alternative to smoking to me.

She vapes because she runs 18 hour shifts on an oil rig and it helps keep her awake.

As far as addiction goes, I'm pretty addicted to world of tanks. I play every chance I get, when I'm not playing, I'm reading about strats or watching videos or even just thinking about it.
It's gotten to the point where I have to schedule other stuff to do so I can get things done. Then I fill up any unused hours on the game. It's sickening because I rage pretty hard sometimes but I still can't walk away until I literally need to sleep else I'll be a zombie the next day.

Looks fantastic though my only criticism would be that some stones look like they take an unnecessary amount of wear - like they wouldn't be in high traffic areas or touched a lot.
Other than that AMAZING! :D

There's a gravity trigger. I cant remember how it works though. It also depends on your engine. check the entity guide: http://twhl.info/wiki.php?cat=1

@Urby: I always loved telling stories too. But the stories I wanted to tell didn't always fit inside the engine limits.. A lesson i never learned.

@Shepard & KB90: TWHL World isn't dead unless you want it to die. I still have the Google Docs folder open to all who want in. I believe has shown interest in revitalizing the project.

@Ghost: yeah dude you totally get it. I've been diving back into my music too. I forgot how incredibly therapeutic it was. Losing interest in hobbies is part of life and a sign of growth it seems.

@kamyon95: no projects are dead unless there is no interest in them. I'm just not participating in anymore projects because I'm sick of making commitments that i don't follow through on. It drives me crazy.

@PB: I have a bad habit of not being able to let go of the past - I'm really trying to work on that. I have many regrets in life but if you don't have regrets, it means you never made any really tough decisions or sacrifices. You can't always make the right choice and not everything in this world is sunshine and rainbows. Regrets exist. Things and people will hurt you. Accept it and move forward. That's my new way of life.

@2muchVGs: I'm not deleting anything. Don't you worry.

@Stu: few ideas and even less time. Bingo.

@Loulimi: I had to read that one a few times lol. All people are different and i can guarantee that you and I are quite different. I'm an engineer with OCD. I compartmentalize. It's who I am. I look back at my life and I certainly see stages of growth and transitions between them. I'm in another transition right now.

@Striker: Yeah I'm pretty fucking proud of that book. TWHL is def my number 1 tab still to this day.. I just don't click it as much.

@Strider: Yep you also get it haha. Appreciate the kind wishes.

@All. Thanks for your support and your well wishes. It means the world.

I was looking into the Tamiya forums and if anything I might do a rear-end rebuild and get some new suspension. The current suspension is REALLY soft. It needs new tires too; these ones are original and very bald.
