Technically spring starts in March. Nice photos I guess, but you need to improve on taking them. Or at least, don't use your phone camera, it seems to be an old one. They look too casual.

It's not that it's resource intensive. It does have a wide variety of resources that aren't currently put to use much more than just being consumed as they are. I've read the author's FAQ on his site( this game is developed by a single person) and it seems he hasn't got big plans for it. I mean... it doesn't even have multiplayer. Neither a campaign, the only story being that these settlers you start with where banished from their original community.
From my perspective, it's a combination of Caesar III and The settlers II.
The only difference is that you don't have any enemies... besides yourself. This has got to be the hardest RTS I've ever played when it comes to micromanagement. You basically have to fine-tune the jobs you assign to each settler so that you don't disturb the economy cycle. And trust me, in the first years it's super hard to provide food. This is the number one cause for people in my villages dying: starvation. It's ridiculous but at the same time challenging. There is a wide variety of food resources, and then there's trading: you can't actually grow all kinds of crops and trees, or breed livestock. You have to acquire seeds and a few animals to start this process( these are the most expensive resources to buy).
My problem is that, after some point, you begin to get bored. There is a bit of variety, but not more. The interface and the overall GUI stuff looks like the game is some kind of cheap linux RTS clone. But the graphics are incredibly good looking, though unoptimized( zooming out will kill your graphics card...). I sure hope the developer of this game will add more interesting stuff to keep me playing, like some tech trees and more upgradable stuff( the only thing you can upgrade is a normal house to a stone house- which consumes less wood for heating during winter).
Ah, but I'm spoiling too much. It is up to you to discover this game. The point is, this game is addictive. But after some point you realize it lacks "substance".

Well on second thought this isn't supposed to kill the pleasure at all. With a reasonable amount of kegel exercises and some good stimulation coming from you, he should be able to feel even full body orgasms. The key is in the prostate.

Holy shit, this is absolutely incredible! Will you ever release a VMF to this? If you ever see this messsage, please leave a comment in the shoutbox or something announcing this, or better yet, make a journal.

Well I played this out of curiosity. I'm going to voice my opinion by keeping in mind that it was made 9 years ago.
Its atmosphere and design of architecture( which in some areas is good, but most of the halls are poorly detailed and use the same texture everywhere) strongly reminds me of Tomb Raider gameplay. Some of the puzzles were quite hard to figure out( there was a lack of consistency of what grates are "doors" and what grates are breakables), and honestly I cheated at some point by noclipping.
It was satisfying.

Well, after writing a review I accidentally clicked a link and it went p00f! I must be tired...
+ has that 98' retro feeling to it + neat placement of weapons + interesting gameplay that allows some vantage points on the roof + wtf moment with that trick cage
- the tram: I realize it's there more for design, but it's not very useful and there are some problems getting down at the second station - not much of an ambience, although in a hl1 deathmatch game with many players... who cares?

Chroma keying means erasing pixels of a certain colour entirely from the scene. It usually involves playing with some thresholds because obviously the colour can't always be perfectly across all its surface.
The most used color is green because there is no green shade in our skins. I've also seen blue used, but it's rare.
[edit] Damn it, I did not know Archie stays awake at 6 a.m.
I apologize for that annoying feat, but I couldn't conceive a more "friendly" path blocker in such a short time frame. The project should have been much bigger anyway, I made a lot of cuts. The gas pipe seems unrealistic, I know. I just forgot to configure the env_steam :)).

This has to stand out as the most creepy map posted this year.
The caves were fun, the landscape simple, yet effective. I can't agree with the HDR lighting, it's a bit too harsh in places. Overall a balanced, creepy map!
For such little time, I give this a fiver.
"The content" made me think twice about Archie's mind.

I'm sorry to say, but I don't believe you. You could only do such a thing in a non-stop mapping session that takes a day( give or take some hours) if you already have the plan really well established :P.

It does. Not in big cities and in places like malls, but it does. There are stupid people who choose not to protect their privacy by spamming tweets wherever they go.

People will talk about a morality engine. Perhaps only then we can begin to worry. Until then, I can only hope that "privacy" will still exist in the future.

After using Windows 8.1 for more than a month, I found that all the complaints stem from the fact that people refuse to accustom with the new start menu. Windows 8.1 in fact provides way faster access to some system settings, including task manager which is now at a right-click distance. I rarely used the start anyway... I keep my shortcuts on the desktop, organized in folders like "multimedia", "mapping" etc. and other general programs directly on the desktop.
I currently use win 8.1 on my laptop and 7 on my desktop. I have nothing against the two. I think it's more a matter of taste.

Clever interpretation of the 3D rendering using those projections, although I understand what you are talking about, I can't figure out the math part. The Arduino thing is interesting, you say only a library is needed and you can output from the digital/analog pins directly into the TV? I have an Arduino Uno myself.

Also, they'll have a hard time in space.
I bet they'll try sequencing the DNA from one's fart.
