Max can import the dxf from hammer, but its ugly. very ugly. It'd be better to start over.I was also going to say that the .rmf file can be opened up by Crafty, then export it to the .obj format. I am sure most good 3D modeling apps out there can import the .obj format. Now, unless you are looking for something low poly, then I would go with what Rimrook is offering.
Heck, even the NBC TV show Nightline had a few reports done on these guys and their tactics.EDIT CORRECTION: Ooops, I goofed up on names here. Nightline is not on NBC, it's on CBS. The TV program that I meant was NBC's "Dateline". Now, both TV shows have coverd this story, but Dateline has done it more times.
FROM: STELLE KOMANANotice how these "West African" jerk-wads use a French Yahoo (yahoo.fr) email account to send this bullshit, not to mention it's also all in capital letters. It's a classic "Nigerian Advance Fee Scheme", also known internationally as "4-1-9". Heck, even the NBC TV show Nightline had a few reports done on these guys and their tactics.

and a lot of the free software is better than the bloated, pricey, Windows-recommended ones.Interesting. Can you please elaborate further on this reasoning?
Well Tito, look at the Antivirus scan, just 2 of the most famouse found it as virus. If the best antivirus doesn't find it, I doubt a download manager would do it.Okay then. Try this other thing concerning the registry: "RegShot" is a small utility that allows you to quickly take a snapshot of your registry and then compare it with a second one ? done after doing system changes or installing a new software product. The changes report can be produced in text or HTML format and contains a list of all modifications that have taken place between Snapshot1 and Snapshot2. In addition, you can also specify a folder (with subfolders) to be scanned for changes as well. You can download from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/regshot
And there's no irony here. I downloaded a program which was a virus. Ok I got a virus, but I know what the real program does, if not, how can I know if it's real or not? Some download managers can actually scan for any possible viruses to files being downloaded, and tell you if they are corrupted or not. See if you can get one of those.
I'm starting to think I'm the opposite of you now, I don't enjoy as many new games as I think I should, but I love all the oldies.Which reminds me of the old term...."Oldies, but Goodies"
Moral of the story is: never underestimate someone who doesn't know how to use a computer properly.I agree. Viruses and all the other nasty rogue crap like it does not necessarily have to come from these so called "bad websites". It can come from just about any site, anywhere. And people who doesn't know how to use a computer properly as you put it, are the most vulnerable to getting infected.
snapfiles looks too useful to pass, i'm checking it out myselfThe best thing that I like about Snapfiles.com is that they actually review and grade each and everyone of their listed software from a scale of 1 to 5 stars. They also accompany their grading with a brief explanation which includes the pro's and con's of the program in question. Every type and class of software is in their own category very neatly, but best of all, it is all in two main sections: Freeware and Shareware.
Only to crappy producers, right?Well, I was going to say movie studio executives, but producers are just as bad too.
still, with payday tomorrow i'm wondering what to get now, should I get:Hey, since you mentioned Bioshock, just wanted to let you know that a exclusive debut teaser to Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams, is been put up online a few hours ago: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/41898.html

Bioshock

http://www.metacritic.com/film/titles/maxpaYea, criticism like that can be a real bitch. Now, with that out of the way, let's see how this movie does in the box office, where it really counts and where it will be decided if it gets a sequel or not. After all, it won't be the first time a lousy movie gets part 2.
yne
Yep, but I wouldn't compare it with the games. Even the developers have criticised the movie. That bad, uh?....Man, why can't they ever make a good movie based on a video game?!..........And on the other way around,.......have you ever noticed on how much a video game based on a movie tend to suck so much? They tend to have that "rushed" look and feel to them.
I'm not.. or at least I'm hoping not. Max Payne 1 and 2 rock my socks, so I have some faith in Remedy.Have you seen the Max Payne movie yet?
OMG, CRAZY!Indeed.
Fairly impressive tech there, but it seems like a bit of a gimmick to me.I feel the same way too. But you have to remember, this program is still in it's early stages, so there's no telling on how well it could shape up just yet. Now, the official website has this to say about the further development plans on VideoTrace:
Might just be that I love accuracy and close-up fine tuning of everything I build.
We're currently developing further modelling interactions to increase both the power and flexibility of the modelling process. We're working on interactive dense reconstruction, organic shapes, de- and re-linghting for model-based video editing, deformable objects and dynamic scenes, amongst other ideas.
That's just a weak excuse for cashing in on a dying franchise. Who ever thought it was cool to let Sub-Zero fight Superman needs to get some serious slapping in his face. The game hasn't even got the blood and gore Mortal Kombat is so well-known for. That's why I put a "maybe" on it, I still have doubts about that game.
However, as always, this is down to personal opinion so who the fuck cares right? Play what you like, nobody has the power to tell you not to.Nice comeback,....sounds good to me. I will buy that. Have a nice day, Urbanebula.
The games I'm looking forward too are Diablo 3 and Supreme Commander: Experimentals. They both look like they're gunna kick ass.Supreme Commander: Experimentals...??? DAMN!.....I did not know about that, I definetly need to get that game!
fake. i doubt that some one could even play wow on three pcs at a time and atcually be good.I would like to also think it is fake too, but the truth is, I think it is real. Not only has this story been all over the net already, it's also in the mainstream media as well, like CNN, FOX News & MSNBC. And I hear Wire magazine is going to cover this too on their next issue, as well as PC Gamer. As scary as it might sound, freaks like this "Prepared" guy actually do exist out there.......
... doesn't tito play any good games?Define "good". Oh, and do it without mentioning any actual games, if you can. Anybody can say "your games suck",....anybody.
I think everyone should print those pics out and put them up on their wall as a constant reminder that if your desk ever ends up looking like that, it's time to shoot yourself.Well, I am glad to see somebody was as dismayed as I was with this. Hey Strider, why don't you try to invite this "Prepared" guy to join TWHL, maybe he could hook us up with some spare laptops for free.
I'm not going to judge someone for playing a little WoW, but 36 accounts?! 36 accounts/copies/whatever of any game is just ridiculous.
It all comes down to money of course, some nerds are willing to pay 4 times as much money each month so naturally it's allowed by BlizzardOf course Blizzard is going to allow multiboxing, it's in their best financial interest. They know once people start confronting these multiboxers more frequently, the honest, single character player out there will have no choice but to also become a multiboxer, and therefore remain competitive on equal terms with the other multiboxing players. It will be like an arms race, the best player will not be decided by who has the best gaming skills, but by who has the most simultaneous accounts. And who will benefit the most out of this? Why good'ol Blizzard of course. CACH'ING - CACH'ING - CACH'ING.......
Oke tito nice words ... so why has he freaking 8+ mouses??I have no idea about the need of so many mousses. That hardware setup of his is beyond me, I have not seen anything like it before, other than what I have seen in command & control rooms while I was in the military years ago. Which brings me to a little question: Now that this guy has been brought out wide in the open by the press, I wonder how long till somebody else out there tries to surpass him in the number of simultaneous accounts?
Gamer juggles over 30 Warcraft charactersHere is what the gaming setup of this "Prepared" looks like: I don't know, but.......is it just me, or is there somthing wrong with this?.......
Meet the mad king of Azeroth.

Think you play too much World of Warcraft? Compared to "Prepared," you don't. In a case of game addiction gone officially bananas, gaming blog Joystiq reports on what is surely the biggest Warcraft fan of them all. Known only under the moniker "Prepared," the gamer plays a stunning 36 World of Warcraft accounts on 11 different computers...simultaneously. Stemming from a desire to manage raids - large-scale gameplay sessions that typically require the teamwork of multiple players - all by himself, the die-hard gamer seems undaunted by both the financial and lifestyle commitments to such a geeky endeavor. "It costs me exactly $5711 in subscription costs per year with 36 accounts on the 6 month pay schedule," he writes. "Not bad considering I'm looking at it like it's a hobby and there are more expensive hobbies out there than World of Warcraft." Like yachting, perhaps. And despite the downturn in the economy, Prepared can't wait to get his hands on the upcoming Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. "I lan to be at the store when it opens and will purchase 36 copies of it. With tax, it should be about $1500 for all of them. "Word of Prepared's over-the-top addiction comes on the heels of the annual Blizzcon Convention, a fan-oriented celebration of the games created by Warcraft publisher Blizzard.
Anyone who looks forward to a Halo game must be a virgin.Hey, you forgot to bash the Wii too........
GoW2 looks...well...exactly like the first game. Pfft, consoles are a joke. All they do is cause arguments. I own a 360 and right now I am not looking forward to any of its upcoming games. As for the whole 'PS3 is more powerful' argument, who gives a fuck. All those games are bullshit too.
I'm going to learn C# because I already know C++ and syntax is similar. Then you are going to need a good text book on the subject. Now, I myself just recently purchased a copy of Apress's "Beginning C# 2008: From Novice to Professional". This is a $40.00 hard cover book, but I also got with it an "ebook" version of it (the whole book as a pdf file).
Some site where I can see what libraries does? Like a TWHL entity list but libraries?
Has anyone noticed how Tito has been posting a lot of threads relevant to no one's interest lately? Just an observation.Well gee, sorry for hurting your sensitivities.
you're kidding, right? That looks terrible.I suppose I should have put it like this from the start: The least worst looking game out of the not so hot Spider-man series franchise. Does it sound better now?
BWAAAAAAAYea, you might be right. Just don't post that on any of the Marvel discussion boards out there, it won't get received well.
Ye it does look like shit.

http://www.crunchgear.com/2008/10/01/live-aThanks for the backup link, Habboi. Gee, I wonder why the movie's website removed the video trailer that superherohype.com was linking from.....could it have been the massive amount of "two thumbs down" they were getting from the public? I agree with Urbanebula when he said that they could have gone the CG way of doing the movie, at least this way they could have used the original voice cast from the anime. I can see this movie not coming out in theaters and instead it be released direct to DVD as a "B" movie.
