How do I edit Dlls, notepad?No, the dll's are build with the source files, written in the programming language C++. To be able to make your own dll, you'll need the HL SDK. The SDK contains all the source code.

making such a thing from solids will make any Hl1 server lag.It won't lag that much. Its kinda small.
It will also create tons of leaf saw through portals. If you want to make such a thing from solids func_wall it(easier for vis) and clip the inside.(less clipnodes)Turning it into a func_wall won't cause leaf portals saw into leafs errors. So ya, func_wall stuff like that.
