All questions and issues regarding compo 17 in this thread please.

All right, here i go again! Here's my idea:

I want you to create your own Resonance Cascade Scenario, like we've seen in the original Half-Life. Your job is to:

[i]- Make a fully function Testchamber.
  • Don't recreate the original test chamber, make your own!
  • Make somesort of specimen to be tested.
  • Use detail! This will be a small map, so you can add as much detail as you wish, but you can also add additional area's, like a transit system to the test chamber or something, as long as it is playable!
  • And finally, make the actual Resonance Cascade Scenario! (You know, things go horribly wrong)
  • Be original and creative, and try not to copy stuff from the original game.[/i]

Try triggering the trigger_camera with a little delay, like 0.5 seconds.

Then you have to put the other trigger_change level at the same GOD DAMN POINT in your second map.
Do you mean the exact same spot on the grid? If so, that ain true, it doesn't matter where you put it, as long as the info_landmarks are both on the same spot between the trigger_changelevel in first and in the second map. Placing those on the same exact spot on the grid won't do any difference.

Also, you need to extract all your models file from the pak0.pak file into your valve/models directory. Only then models will show up in Hammer.

And i didn't find a male assassin model. Only female, but that was in HL, not OppFor.

Pitdrones are not in the original game (HL). Maybe i made a typing mistake. Let me see.

And i did. :/

It should be:
@PointClass base(Monster) size(-16 -16 0, 16 16 32) studio("models/pit_drone.mdl") = monster_pitworm : "Pit Worm" []

Can you fix that yourself?

Well i can add that, but that'll take a a lot longer. You really want it?

And some monsters don't show up becuase i don't know the required model file. Like the pinguin model, i don't have a pinguin model. :)

And did you extract all the monsters to your valve/models or gearbox/models directory?

To put it this way, i can modify the OppFor 3.x FGD so that it'll work with Hammer 3.5 beta, with model support. I just neat to add a view extra lines to the monster entity strings inside the FGD. You understand? ;)

Copy all the new stuff from the opfor fgd and paste it in the hl fgd.
Don't won't help making the OppFor monsters visible in Hammer, since the entity information stays the same.

Face it dudes, this can't be done with regular Half-Life, and faking it would look horrible.

The only downdraft when using Spirit is that you need to include the Spirit dll's and any other custom files that you might use, when you release your map. That is not a big problem, since you can make a minimod out of it, but it'll increase filesize.

I had thought of having textures made with our TWHL names on them and made to kind of appear on half the screen in front of the camera. I don't know if you can picture that in your head, but it looks very well for the ending sequences.
