Tip: Turn object like these into func_walls:
  • small brushes
  • a group of small/complex brushes
  • complex brushes
  • cillinder (pipes)
Stuff like that really make your compile slow, and make a lot of leaves, which means higher r_speeds.

in I need some help with an error Post #134806
Do you have any special models or prefabs? they may have been screwed up, or you somehow turned a brush inside out, no idea how that could have happened - but some entitys like platforms seem prone to this. You can also look for a brush with bad extents, or check the texture, is it divisible by 16 on the edges EXACTLY? Finally, are you using the most modern version of zoners tools? Old versions or ancient qtools are more prone to this error

What?

Half-Life IS Deathmatch. It is not a seperate application like HL2DM. HL1DM "lives" inside Half-Life. If you have non Steam Half-Life, you have Half-Life.

Connect to Hamachi, login in the TWHL network, ask someone to host, then start up HL, and look for LAN servers.

Playtime! ;)

Agree Hunter. Software is for people without a decent videocard.

OpenGL is defenitly your best choice.

For HL, OpenGL is the best.

Because decals, like blood, bulletholes, explosion marks, don't show up in D3D, they do in OGL.

You can still use it, for example, make somekind of Cryochamber or something and place a bloater inside. It adds atmosphere to your map. :)

I think you can play any game with Hamachi, as long as you use the lan multiplayer option on the game. So yeah, CS is possible too, in fact, everything.

We have about 10/12 members now. :)

Bind sv_gravity 10000
That command won't do anything. :

I prefer:

bind "z" "sv_gravity -1000"
bind "x" "sv_gravity 10000

I got a trick for you guys to beat muzzle.
make sure svcheats is on 1, now bind a key to impulse 101.

As soon as you spawn start hitting that key, switch to the snarks and spam around, i can assure you that is is affective as long as you walk with the snarks, watch for they may turn against you, there not really loyal soldiers.
GAH! :P

B0rked models? Try the Blue Shift HD models, if you have Blue Shift.

Just a guess, but you also try to patch Half-Life to version 1.1.1.0. if you haven't allready. Maybe that fixes it.

Yer sure? Because i did'nt die at all. Scores don't lie. You kinda lagged too... Not really bad, but sometimes you just stand still for a few seconds and 1 second later you're 10 meters further. :/ It must be the connection and the distance between us.

At least Hamachi works fine for me. :)

Use path_corners to create a circular path. Make the apache target the first path_corner. It'll follow it. Might need some tweaking before you get it right. :)

Select your desk/couch, whatever, go to the desired 2D view (top, front, side) and click somewhere in the selected object. The white grabpoints should now be turned into circles. Grab one to rotate.
