Make that the end points so the player isn't wondering around the hub with guns only to have them taken away when they choose a map.

what do you mean "created in-game"At the minute I am making the humans in the Sims-Creator which is a downloadable app which lets you create your own clothes and stuff. However it came out when The Sims 2 was first released.
Cats and Dogs became available with The Sims 2 Pets and as of yet there is no upgrade for the Sims-Creator to cater for the creation of custom skins. They have to be created in the Creator in the game. However they are extremely customisable from there anyway. You can choose fur colours, patterns, and use up to 4 layers to get a unique one every time.

When I was turnin 18 I had a choice as to whether my 18th or my 21st would be my BIG BIRTHDAY.
I chose my 21st and still for my 18th I got a top of the range PC (at the time) with loads of games and a rifle.
So, God knows what I'll be gettin on my BIG BIRTHDAY. Maybe a new house?

Some of you may know and some may not that I am often subjected to having to give up my PC to my lady so she can check on her Sims.
What ALL of you DO know is that The Sims is a complete and utter bag of shit which should be thrown under a truck.
However...
I was thinking earlier if it would be interesting / funny to create 8 members of TWHL (to their specifications) and put them all in a house together.
Stay with me...
If you post here what you would want to look like and an image to put on your shirt i can include you in the project.
The shirts will be black worn with black trousers / pants. The TWHL logo will be printed on the back and the picture you choose and your name will be put on the front.
I will then monitor them for a few minutes every day or so and post the funny / unusual events that take place.
If I get some volunteers I'll go ahead with it. If not I wont.

What the image doesn't show:
-The printer/scanner has got loads of sketches under the lid and acts as a file.
-The USB cables round the back glow blue nut only works in the dark.
-There is a picture of a sheep above my monitor
-The printer is resting on one of the structural bars on the side where it overlaps the desks edge. The other side is propped up on top of the Final Fantasy 7 PSone case.

How about having the elements in place and then setting up every part of the portal from scratch.
So you start with a computer cart without the computer, a portal base (small set of stairs and a platform) and a battery case without the batteries and a sample holder. Then you have to gather.

-Fuel Tanks
-Cables and Tubes
-An antenna
-Portal Framework
-Idiots guide to setting teleport coordinates.
-Portal generators (spikes where the beams come from)
-Dampening Locks (Whatever they look like :nuts:)
-Alien Crystal Sample (mine is set in an offworld mine so that would best suit my map :))

I don't like the message system. You should either use game_texts or edit the titles.txt if using a minimod folder (which we will be doing)

Just a curiosity thing really. What would a TWHL gathering be like? Where would it be held? Who would you most want to talk to? How many people would slap ZombieLoffe with a large trout? (i.e. How many large trouts would we need to order?)

People who don't map for HL1 anymore = people who have lost their mapping touch.
I had this idea for the hub. The player enters a lobby of each mappers own design before actually entering their level. The lobbies should include a picture of the mapper or their avatar and then their voice (or a game text) can introduce the level and it's objectives.
