Put NULL on the sides. Tying the brush to a func_water might hide the sides, too.

Also, I think textures are only tiled randomly in software rendering. I've never had it work in OpenGL, and I read that somewhere.

I love the fact that it sorts pretty much everything out for you. Notice how we've barely had anyone asking how to set it up having ignored every resource out there? God bless Valve.

Eh, relax.

One comment from me, I think the beams should fade sooner. The edges visibly meet the circle there, and the sharpness of the beams with the soft circles looks a little strange. Then again, did you only elevate Gordon for the screenshot?

You mean the big yellow thingies? They're a model, and I'm pretty sure all their movement is done by their animation. Stick in a monster_generic and look for a likely model name, or have a flick through with Half-Life Model Viewer.

Something similar's probably present in BSP. CSG is pretty damn fundamental; unless Hammer does it as-you-go.

You can't. You can get the 82MiB 1.1.1.0 patch here, but apart from that, get Steam. It doesn't take any more space than WON HL, basically.
