Images are a bit big, but this was a recent trip to a lcoal FORMER Air Base in Mesa, AZ now called "Williams Gateway Airport" - the military in the US uses this airport as a refeuling point, and every friday, saturday, and sunday you can go behind the terminal and watch these plans taxi in and out... that Harrier was ABOUT 50 feet away from me, maybe not even. :P :P

So once I create my textures and my wad file, how would people play the map if I just sent the bsp file with the wad file? I asdsume they just have to put it in the directory where the other wad's go and HL will automatically detect it?

in Entitys Post #29250
Is there a way to UNDESIGNATE an entity from a brush? SAy you create a func_door, but realized a func_door_rotating would work better? (you just cant reselct the entity from the drop-down list, for a FDR you have to add an origin brush)

If I create textures, do I just create a seperate .wad file or should I add them to Half-Life's wad?

Also, How do I create transparent textures (ladder, grate, etc)

in Example Vault Post #28634
IN NO WAY is this post intended to upset any specific map poster... I'm merely making a suggestion.

The Example Map Vault should be moderated by Andy or 7th I think. You should email your map to either one, and they can "credit" you in the comments and explain what the map is an example of.

As I said, just a suggestion.

This is in reference to my "1:1" post (1 unit = 1 inch)

For some reason today I decided to measure my bedroom, created a box exactly to the "inch", hollowing outward... THAT does not work!

I only assumed that it would work based on Gordon's model size... shrugs :zonked:

I understand now...

Make the env_laser just the way it should, with a aaatarget entity "trigger_once" wrapped around the "beam"... then use that trigger to set off anything I need it to, like a scripted sentence, sound, explosion, etc.

Am I correct?

I'm a firm believer that the punishment should fit the crime!

If you steal from someone, you deserve to be robbed. If you rape someone, let Bubba the designated cell-block bride have ya!

Now if you hack someone's head off with a large kitchen-type knife, you should be Hung, Drawn, and Quartered!!!

I have seen the footage of Nicholas Berg's murder, and I must put my 2 cents in and say "KILL THOSE RAG HEADED BASTARDS!"

Sorry guys - I'm just outraged at this whole war. :( :x :(

Okay I know the majority of this community is against cheating, but I'm wondering if there is a way to trigger an impulse code or condition
