Is it a func_water or is it just the texutre? If it is NOT a func_water then that's what's causing the problem. The texture doesn't work as water, you can just go through it.

I don't want 2 trigger_changeleves. Your not suposed to be able to go back to the original map. And in response to the dead or stuck thing: The camera is sideways, I can't move anything BUT the camera, but when I left click, the loading screen doesn't come up, I am dead and "alive" at the same time. And 3rd (sorry for rambling on every post I have made) I don't even end up where the landmark is in the first place.

Don't be mad if you have already tried this (I didn't read your first forum concerning light_environment). Try simplye putting a light entity right near the shadow with the same light propertes as the rest of the map?

The way you guys talk to me tells me you din't read the whole first post. THE LANDMARKS BOTH HAVE THE SAME NAME! I CAN'T USE THE TELEPORTER METHOD BECAUSE I AM DEAD ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MAP CHANGE! I HAVE THE LANDMARKS ON THE SAME COORDINATES! I HAVE TRIED JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SUGGESTED TO ME! I can't use the teleporter method! I end up dead on the other side of the map change! And even If I COULD use it, I wouldn't, there would be a teleporter in the place that you need to go next in the map. You fall down a big tube in the center of the map, If there is a teleporter there then I wont be able to proceed.

If you mean to put the landmarks in the same coordinates on boths maps, I just did. But it still didn't work. Yes, they are lined up from front view, top view, and side view.

T;ax, if you read the whole thing I said I named them both "landmark" and I ddi searches, I have used the map. Im not tying to sound mean but for future reference, If I put a problem in the forums, It will most likely be something I've tried everything else for but still failed.

AGH! How do you make a WORKING level change? I saw the tutorial but it says nothing about how to change a level and not be able to change it back. In my mod-in-the-making, Interception, I am trying to make it so that when you walk up to a door in a room you end up in an airplane in the next level. I have 2 landmarks, 1 in the room and 1 in the airplane. They are both labeled "landmark"(no quotes in the name). And I have the trigger_changelevel set up so it says to change levels to the next map and it labels the landmark. BUT HERES THE PROBLEM: The map change works, but when I get to the map I'm dead and floating in the middle of the map.

I am making a mod for Half Life called Interception. It's a single player game and I don't have the people voices for the game. (obviously) So I can't make the guards actually say stuff, so instead I use game_text messages. The first on I put in worked fine but the other 3 that I put in the first map don't work. Instead, whenever I touch the trigger, half life closes. HELP ME PLEASE!

How do you make a screenshot for a level preview with a decent size? Whenever I take a screenshot on my computer, the file is 2.25 mb. That's a ridiculous size but I don't know how to make them smaller!

The compute I have is an e machines. I got it in 2001 or 2001 and it has integrated, non-great graphics, so odds are, my computer is the problem.

When I create a mid-size to big level (Ex: big_city) whenever I try to test my level, it takes forever to load! Sometimes it doesn't load at all, it just sits there and changes the mouse to the hourglass until I close it with the task manager. Is there anyway I can spped up the load time of my levels?

actually all I did was take custom server sounds from tfc servers an stuff and moved them into my valve/sounds/big_city file. it worked.

OK guys, when you downloaded big_city, the sounds in the level obviously didn't work for you. Now I have updated it with the sounds folder in it. Put the folder labeled big_city in your .../Half Life/valve/sounds folder and tell me if the sounds work

IF anybody reads this and has downloaded my half life map, big_city. Did you get the sounds in the level? There should be a windy noise on the rooftop, a waterfall noise near the fountain, and action music in the movie theatre. If you did not get these sounds when you played the level then please tell me.

I like fy maps. But I also use TEAMbot and because of them my computer freezes every time I start a server in a closed in map like an fy map. Where can I get another bot program? preferable podbot.

Guys, I am the creater of the map big_city. If you have downloaded it then please delete it. The reason? I have yet to give credit to myself in the map. So it isn't exactly as finished as I though. It will be complete and ready fo download within a few days if even that long.
