Eh, a .mdl file?

Prefabs are not mdl files, atleast not the type of prefabs im thinking of.

Put it in models folder, and make a monster_generic or something ,cant remember...

Set the render mode to "Additive" and the Render Amount to 255.

This will make it 'glow' and the black stuff will go away.

If you downloaded a .map file, just go to you current map in hammer, and go file -> open, and choose your prefab.
Then, copy the prefab (ctrl+c) and paste it in your map (ctrl+v) :D

Use a env_sprite for the 'teleports'
Theres really no way to shrink or enlarge sprites, but together with a sound it doesnt look that bad.

I installed that Avast thing, and when it was done i restarted -
The boot got stuck on a dos-like screen, flashing a underscore in the top-right corner.
Im currently formatting again.

Btw, im on my parents comp :(

I recently formatted my computer, and when I re-installed XP (home), I first had some major driver problems (damn dell) and then the internet didnt work.

Later, I got nasty viruses (win32 blast.worm) who were shutting down my comp and... stuff.
I formated again, but they came back. They always do - I've now formatted 4 times, and I am a complete moron.

I have Norton Antivirus 2003, but my internet doesnt allow liveupdate to run ( :( ), so the virus-definitions are 3 years old.
I tried different virus removal tools on the net (trend micro) but they didnt seem to work, or the viruses just came back.

Now, I odnt have a clue what to do, except leave the computer at some repair-service and let them fix the jiffy.
I havent mapped for longtime!
Anyone has any solution to this? Buying a new computer would be one option but since this one cost a fortune and is highly up-to-date, there's really no need, nor money, for it.

When you finished your compile, just look at the leftover window.
Or, goto your map directory and look for mapname.txt <- compile log.

Make a block, with a ORIGIN brush included.
Tie both the block and the origin to a func_vehicle.

Make path_corners (one for Where the vehicle starts, the other for where it 'points) and set them up as "First pathcorner" etc. . .

Make a func_vehiclecontrols(covered with AAAtrigger) where you want the vehicle to be controllable from.

Done!

You use 9 wads, try to lower them! It probably works, but 8 should me max.

Lastly, and most important go here And download ZHLT

Much much much MUCH better than the q* tools who were designed for quake.
