No, everything is low res, brush textures, sprites, model textures, entities.

I'm going to try to create a mod manually using the links you posted. See what happens.

EDIT:

Creating a mod manually didn't work, I've added the mod to the 2009 Engine branch but Hammer reports that it didn't find the default scheme file, then it crashes completely.

What a freaking pain in the butt this is. Frick.

EDIT 2: The Sequel:

Converted the mod to 2013 engine branch, and tried changing the ConVar.mat_picmip values in dxsupport.cfg to -1, like I did many time yesterday, and it never worked, but now it did:

Do you really need players to actually push the thing? You could just use a func_train or func_door to move your object and have a thin trigger_multiple in front of it, so it'll start moving as soon as you touch it.

I thought mods always go in the SourceMod folder. Unless that's changed...

I'm actually thinking it has something to do with Hammer not finding the dxsupport.cfg file.

I did what was suggested there but it didn't work, everything in the Hammer 3D window is still blurred.

Well, I've been fiddling with the SDK, Hammer and whatnot, and I managed to convert a mod created with the 'create a mod' wizard in the Source SDK Launcher to a 2013 mod. I got it to appear in Hammer next to the HL2, Ep1 and Ep2 entries. I was also able to successfully compile a map with the latest compile toolset that comes with the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.

Look at how new vvis is for example:
** Executing...
** Command: "D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer\bin\vrad.exe"
** Parameters:  -game "D:\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods\spaceshuttletribute" "D:\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods\spaceshuttletribute\mapsrc\shuttle_test"

Valve Software - vrad.exe SSE ([b]Aug 29 2013[/b])
That's just 8 days old, and so very up-to-date.

And yes, I do realize that Source 2013 is merely just an update that adds support for Max and Linux, but I like to keep things up-to-date and who knows what has been added/fixed in this release. :)

The only problem I bumped into is that textures, models and entities in the Hammer 3D view appear very blurry and low res:

But the Create a Mod wizard only allows 2007 engine mods to be created. Choosing 2009 gives an error.

2007 is so old. I want at least the 2009 engine. Is there a way to manually update a 2007 engine mod to 2009? Perhaps by changing paths?

So... how does one create a new mod from scratch if we're not supposed to use the launcher any more?

And what exactly is Source SDK Base 2013? Is it a new (the latest?) release of the engine? Does HL2, Ep1 and Ep2 use that engine or do they still use the 2009/2007 engine version?

So confused. :confused:

Yeah, very annoying, although I have noticed that leads have a less chance of breaking when there's enough room for the horse to roam about. Make sure your horse can't roam behind objects, give him as much free space as possible.

My guess is they're poorly coded. I was very looking forward to 1.6, mainly because of the horses as a new method of traveling. However, due to the weird lag that they cause, I'm avoiding horse riding as much as possible. Hopefully they'll fix that in 1.7.

Did you know you can combine two books together? Two books of Fortune I combined will get you a Fortune II book. Two books of Fortune II equals Fortune III. :)

Well, if you prefer loosing your stuff due to lag, fine by me. :)
I'm just offering an option here to those that have bad lag and can't enjoy the server as much. But we need to agree on it before I even enable it.

I've been thinking about making a couple of changes to the gamerules for those suffereing from bad lag. Losing your stuff by a creeper explosion that you couldn't avoid because of lag, is not fun at all.
Now there's nothing I can do to make the lag go away, but I can change a couple of gamerules. One of them allows you to keep your inventory when you die, this should help ease the pain a bit. However, this gamerule applies to all players, including those that don't suffer from lag. So I think we should increase the difficulty to hard as well.

Let me know what you think and if you'd like it at all. :)

Beta 1.3 is up.

Some small bug fixes and improvements here and there.
I also got rid of those pesky Folder Browser Dialogs and replaced them with the Vista style Open Folder Dialogs, which looks pretty much the same as a standard Open File Dialog in Windows Vista and 7. Don't know about Windows 8 though.

He logged in with LaVolpe's username, taking over her character as well as being aggressive against her for whatever reason.

LaVolpe reported the issue to me and Ghost129er hasn't been on since.

This is exactly why it's recommended to have onlinemode enabled. I disabled it so Ghost could join the server because he's using a cracked/hacked version of Minecraft.

I made it perfectly clear I don't tolerate aggressive behavior and don't act like a jerk.
What were you thinking? You've disappointing me.

the Dialogs to choose folders make them all the same i dont need to click hundred folders but can use shortcuts to them.. this takes too long :P
