How odd. At a guess I'd say you've either set a/some directory(ies) wrong somewhere or that ZHLT is getting confused by the spaces in the pathnames. Try Nem's Batch Compiler, perhaps.

Read the tutorials. You shouldn't texture world brushes with AAATRIGGER, and you cannot have untextured faces.

You can use an env_laser targetting, say, "target", and have ten entities all called "target". This will make the laser jump randomly - this is all that's possible.

Nor my computer, the physics just aren't as good. It runs worse than CS:S, too, plus the start-with-armoury noobishness sucks. Plus the screwed-up HUD, but maybe they updated that yesterday.

HL?DM sucks at the moment anyway, I just tried it.

The GUI's all trashed, the physics are even jerkier than CS:S, you don't get the good ol' crowbar, there are only two maps, and everybody starts with grenades and an SMG (which makes it rather boring).

Then again, Steam does give VALVe an excuse to release crappy unfinished software 'cos they can then patch it whenever they feel like it.

The console background's done completely differently too, it's in about eight pieces for no apparent reason. Good luck with the console background, but I can't see how as the console's completely different too.

I think the message was saying that the face having the lightmap applied to is only 512x256, but the lightmap's larger. Maybe you've set an odd RAD setting? Extra, perhaps?
